Not a good teacher. Her papers are impossibly hard and she is WAY to strict on grammer for a non-english teacher. (5 errors and you FAIL) She is also really biased against guys in class. Do not take her if you can avoid it!!!!!

I liked her. She was tough on papers, but really helpful and will help you improve your writing. She was funny and she really seems to like her subject. Values insightful comments and honest effort. Go see her after class!

She's a helpful teacher and also gives insightful comments about ideas extracted from daily reading material; ideas that one cannot come across solely by reading the material by oneself. She has a weird sense of humor but she's fair and understanding, she relates to problems college students face in writing class. So take her!!!

She's a great woman, but she tends to get off topic sometimes and dominate the class discussion. She grades papers fairly and offers assistance to any student who feels he needs it. If you do the assignments well and participate in the discussions, you should be fine.

I disagree with most of what has been said. I'm a guy, and we almost never saw eye-to-eye on any subject; however, we got along just fine. If you are willing to sit down and think out what you are going to write in your essays and think outside of class discussions, you will do wonderfully in her class.

I just love Pamela Johnston. At first her class was way over my head, but after talking to her she really helped me out. She is very understanding and very clear with expectations. I would recommend her WGS class to anyone!
