Many people take advantage of the fact that he sounds like he doesn't know what he's doing. However, this man has his PhD, has written books, and is very intelligent. He's difficult to understand but if you seek his help, he will help you, no doubt. The class is easy and there really isn't much to do. Easy A.

I tried as hard as I could, but this man is impossible to understand. Ironically, the only thing I could consistently understand was when he would ask, "Was that clear to you?" He seemed to arbitrarily give everyone an A-, so even if you don't do well on the midterm or final, you'll probably still get an A-.

Terrible class. Didn't understand a single thing he said all year. Went through SOC 101 and still have no idea what sociology even means. Absolute waste of time.

French/West African accent makes him impossible to understand during a lecture. BUY THE BOOK, he wrote it and you'll need it for the study guides. Google has half the ebook for free but u'll need the rest.

Very hard to understand, his accent is so strong. Nice man that clearly knows what he is talking about, but no one else does. If you want a class that you can sleep through and get an A, take his class!

Couldn't understand anything he said except, "hello and thank you." He rambles on the entire class and everybody just looks at each other like what the hell is this guy saying? Didn't learn one thing, didn't WANT to learn one thing seeing as I would have to teach myself the entire time. I don't recommend this class!

He is a terrible professor, no one can understand him. His exams are STRAIGHT from the study guides and he leaves during exams. If you want an easy A then take him, if you want to learn something, then take someone else.

I got an A in this class without understanding a word that came out of the man's mouth. He's a really easy grader and a really nice guy. Too bad his accent is too thick to understand. If you want an easy A where you can sleep through the class, then this is for you. However, if you actually want to learn anything about sociology, don't bother.

I completed this class with only understanding "Hello", "Goodbye" and "Is everything clear to you?" His accent is SO thick, but all in all a very easy class, textbooks aren't necessary to pass, just go to class and take notes. Midterm/Final= study guide almost word for word. He's an easy gradter and it's an easy A. Gave 1 quiz the entire semester.

A nice guy who does understand what he is talking about, the only hangup being that he can't speak very well with his thick accent, but a nice guy and the tests, quiz, papers etc. are easy.

I took his class because I thought all the stuff about his accent was BS... I thought I would be able to understand him. WRONG. I had to drop the class because he's talking some sort of gibberish.

I cannot stress enough how impossible this man's accent is to understand. I went to every class and did not learn a single bit of sociology. HE DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. I will say that his tests are exactly the same as the guide he gives, and the two papers were easy. I got an A-. If you want to learn, do not take him, if you want an A, take him.

Awosan is a great man! You can tell his passion is for Sociology and he knows his stuff! He has a heavy accent so he can be difficult to understand but that's hardly his fault. If you actually go to the class, make effort to pay attention, and keep up, the class is an easy A. I enjoyed it.

Prof. Awosan, although sometimes hard to understand, is very insightful and a great professor. He really knows his stuff and is usually available in his office for any extra help that you may need. If you read the chapters in the book that he goes over in class, you will do well in the class. I've already recommended this class to my friends.

Professor Awosan is one of the best teachers I've ever had. At first his accent is thick; if you listen and pay attention it quickly disappears. He is highly knowledgeable, cares about your grade, and is willing to engage in thoughtful discussions. The best part is that he wants to help you succeed and will do whatever he can to achieve that goal.

Awosan is a very smart person, this dude is well educated and he knows his stuff, cons: he is really hard to understand but once you do his study guide you'll be fine same material on test, he only gave one quiz, he likes his students to pass gives you a second chance if you do bad on your exams, JUST TRUST ME IT'S AN EASY A

Professor Awosan is the single most unintelligible man I have ever met. The ridiculousness of his thick accent is only accented by his weird hand gestures. If you've got an interest in at least understanding a few words for your tuition money, go elsewhere. Otherwise, this class is good for doing your other classes' homework.

Well, first off, the obvious thing is that you will have a hard time understanding what he is saying. He has a heavy accent that is extremely hard to get over. Besides that, Awosan is a decent professor who cares about your grade. There's really no reason not to do well. The midterm and final are word for word off of study guides he sends
