Knowledgeable professor with interesting life experiences. Lecture heavy, power point slides, you get a packet with all the slides she uses. 1 group project/presentation. 2 books, lots of reading from the books for the tests. 3 tests, 100 pts each, half T/F half multi choice. If you know your US history it'll be a pretty easy class. Grads on curve.

I had her for US history class for summer before freshman year. She is a generous professor and does not give homework. Her exams are based on the readings and notes. She also gives extra credit opportunities and if you do well in her project, it will help your grade. Plus, she prints out powerpoint notes for you. :)

This professor does lecture and gives personal experience and advice. That is where the good part ends. Her test is so hard and the grading Categoria is unclear. You have to read many little stories that correlate a little to the class lecture.

Definitely a boring class, however she clearly knows her material and wants everyone to pass. Class is based solely on Powerpoint lectures, one group presentation, and three exams. As long as you read over the powerpoints and read the two required texts you'll do fine. Curves the class at the end.

Prof. Hazlett was really sweet and kind. Pretty easy class. Show up to class, take notes on ppt packet she gives to you. Textbook (readings w stories & actual txtbook) is required but I read it only half the time and passed just fine. Tests are curved. One group presentation. Study the packet, notes, read the readings and you'll be fine!

she is a very very nice teacher. However, the test are so hard that there is a very little chance to pass the test itself. she gives lots of extra credits and you have to do good on your presentation. the presentation is important for her.

She is very nice. However, her class was based on two midterms, one final, and one presentation. Difficult to raise your grade if you are not willing to study. Books are important to read. Tests have questions that are detailed to the text. If you are willing to put in the time, the class will be easy. What homework? Handouts given: powerpoints

She teaches from a powerpoint but the class can get pretty interesting. Its hard to learn the material because everything is done on your own. This class is pretty similar to an online class where everything is learned by yourself. Two Exams and one Project. Project is Easy A. Exams are fairly easy but theres 100 questions which raises the diff

Take this class for an easy PASSING grade. There's only 3 tests, a group presentation, and no homework. And yes most students don't read the textbook--myself included. Just study the power point and show up to class. The tests are curved generously but stay away if you want an A. I never paid attention in class and got a B.

I thought this class would be super hard since I wasn't interested in history courses. But this is a chill class. Most students didn't even read the book but passed. The class is based on 2 Test and a Final and a Group Project. And she curves the grades!! yay! Great Professor!

I know classmates that literally did no reading and just attending the lectures and they still passed the class. I got a B and I hardly read any of the reading. She grades on a curve. on the first test I was 2nd or 3rd to finish and I practically guessed for half the questions...I got a 89% on that test. 'Nuff said.

i took her for history 7a/b, and i gotta say, shes awesome. if you hate in class essays, take her. all of her tests are T/F and MC questions. However, you still need to read the 2 books and powerpoint hand out she give you. she curve the grades too. Dont expect easy A, but if you read the books and pay attention, you will get an A.

Professor Hazlett is definitely one of the best professors at PCC. Her tests (3 including the final/all are curved) are easy if you go over her powerpoint handouts, and the group powerpoint is the simplest thing ever. She's very knowledgable re: U.S. history and politics and will take a liking to you if you participate in class once in a while.

Hazlett's class is pretty easy. She gives powerpoints and she gives you a paper copy of her powerpoints so just study off of those for the exams and you will be fine. You also have a group powerpoint project which is pretty easy, also. Overall, she's nice and understanding but just make sure you do your part and you should be well off.

I am flabbergasted that some students think she's the best history teacher at pcc. I've taken 4 other history courses and believe she is worst. This class is a great example about how powerpoints truly desensitizes the message. She loses track of what she's saying or she's not quite sure how to answer your questions if it isn't from the book. You w
