She was the best. Though she is no longer with us, those of us who were fortunate enough to have her will continue to use the communication abilities she imparted, and I for one intend to carry on something of her thoroughness as I teach English in Japan.

She's very very strict, she is also serious about getting everything PERFECT, if you have one thing wrong, she docks you points. I have nice handwriting, and she corrects my english when I write that as well!

If you're serious about learning the language, this is a wonderful professor. Teaches the language as well as it's cultural context. She's a hard teacher, but it's benefits are worth it.

Excellent instructor, cares very much how her students are progressing. Course is a good mix of textbook work and instructor-prepared materials. Though the language is difficult, you have to work to fail this course.
