Comment:

Dr. Boothe expects a lot from his students but he is well worth the time you put into his class. He is incredibly knowledgeable about history & clearly enjoys teaching. While he is retired, he still has ameritus status & teaches a wonderful Diplomacy & Foreign Policy course.

Comment:

I have had Dr. Boothe for two classes now. I last took him for History of Foreign Policy of the United States. He is a very intelligent and good professor. He has a large amount of knowledge when it comes to U.S. History. All tests are essay in any of his classes. I would recommend him to anyone!! Great Professor!!!

Manifest Destiny film class/summer--test are a challenge and you need text to study!! In summer if you do well on first three test you are exempt from taking anymore tests the rest of summer. Awesome reward! You can easily get an A if you study for an hour or so. Excellent man, wonderful prof who will be missed this year!

Dr. Boothe is the best! He teaches you thy "why" of history and shows you how things are connected and how certain patterns are repeated throughout history. He may be a little liberal in his views but that can be forgiven because of how good he is. He truly cares about the students and is always available to help. He will be missed.

Dr. Boothe is a wonderful person who truely cares about his students. Anyone says otherwise needs to grow up and learn to appreciate people. Dr. Boothe not only served as President for 12 years but then came back and taught for another six. That is someone who truely cares about the University

I love this man and I wish he was my grandpa! He's really enthusiastic about history and he gets you all pumped up. You can say he won't pump you up but he will, oh yes, he will. Take Dr. Boothe or you will be doing yourself a grave injustice.

I can't believe the negative comments about Dr. Boothe! He is the best! He is one of the legendary History professors at NKU. If you want to learn something, take one of his classes. But, you better hurry. He retires after the summer session in 2006. He will be missed. Those of us lucky enough to have taken one of his classes have been truly blesse

Dr. Boothe is a very knowledgable man, but his class can be boring. His class is 100% lecture, with no organization to notes. He simply gets up and talks for 50 minutes. Tests are all short essay and a major essay. Definitely not an easy A, but an interesting man and you will learn a lot.

Taught well, he was such a great story teller, and I think for history as boring as it can get he made you want to listen.He is an older man and might have witnessed alot of the topics he taught it just made it more interesting for me. His test were very spelled out,listen take notes and maybe read and you will do fine.I never read the book got a B
