Do NOT procrastinate in this class. Do case papers early and have her proof-read them before they're due. Course comprised of 5 Case Papers, 2 Presentations, 2 Discussants, 2 Small Group Papers, and 1 Large Group Presentation. Oh, and Participation. I loved this class! It gave me confidence in my ideas and opinions! Thank you!!!

Class is an easy A. She docks major points for issues with grammar. Class uses canvas, it makes turning in assignments confusing b/c for some she wants a hardcopy and for others she wants it on canvas. Ask her to clarify. Easy little assignments like brochure, powerpoint, newsletter. 4 quizzes.

I loved this class. I loved Martinelli. She's the best. She is so nice and so easy to talk to. I go to her for my advising as well and she is awesome! so helpful. This class seems like a lot of work but as long as you manage your stuff right you will do fine.

Don't be scared of this class, despite what you may have heard. Martinellis is accessible and very helpful. Give her your papers to correct before they are due and you will get a good grade. I received an A in the class and learned a lot. Do as many papers as possible early in the semester.

A SUPER nice lady and very helpful, but I agree that the class would be better if she lectured a bit more, there were maybe 2 fewer case study assignments, and gave more (and better) feedback on assignements.

DISAPPOINTING AND NOT WORTH MY MONEY OR TIME. I don't know why so many students like this teacher. She doesn't even lecture. The students are the ones who present case studies..and that's it! I would think paying over $1000 for school would give us better teachers, but apparently not. I left this class feeling riped off and abused.

What a nice person she is! She is helpful, answers all of your questions. She's really there for the students, perhaps because she's the advisor. She gives great feedback on your writing, even though she kind of leaves you on your own to work on your own projects. She's always there for tips and she'll let you know about internships, etc.

Design class. Lots of projects. Brochure, newsletter, position paper, direct mail project. Lots of time to work on all of them. Very little teaching, after first month. She assigns it you do it. She's a MAJOR stickler when it comes to your writing. Tough to get perfect scores on anything! So, check papers and projects for mistakes like 10 times!!!

Martinelli is a very cool, nice lady, but it's true that there's not a whole lot of teaching going on in this class. She hands out the assignments (and there are a TON of them), students write the papers and present them. The way it's set up, there isn't a whole lot of time for her to lecture. Which I guess is nice for her. I would have liked a bit more teaching, though. Or at least more detailed comments on the papers. Good class to take if you're good at time management, though. Easy grader.

Martinelli is graet. She's funny, she can relate the clas to the real world, and she is always willing to clarify an assignment or question. The assignments weren't too muchand always made sense.

Overall, this class is borning. There are 7-8 papers, 3-4 presentations, 2 disscuant roles, and one group presentaion. The class is based on you completing the assignments in time. Honestly, Martinelli doesn't teach -- she just hands out the questions to the assignments. Also, she favors certain students and is stuck up. She pretends to care.

A lot of writing but not hard if you just keep up and do all of your papers. Don't procrastinate! Martinelli is very easy going and helpful. She'll go over your papers before they are due and then give them back so you can correct your mistakes and turn them in. This makes it really easy to get an A

WRITE THE ****ING PAPERS! The class isn't hard but managing your time is, BE SURE TO WRITE ALL 8 PAPERS! Pick a good group to work with. She's very helpful, ask her anything she'll tell you exactly what she's looking for. Go to class even though it sucks to see people suck at presentations.

one of my favorite teachers at SJSU. class seems intimidating but she lets you turn papers in early for corrections and guidance. lots of papers to write but no tests at all. entire semester consists of watching classmates presentations, so it gets kinda boring- very repetitive. great lady :)

She is a very good teacher. She is always there to help and very understanding if circumstances come up, as they can. This class may seem intimidating at first, but once you get going, it's not all that bad. Be prepared to do some writing though!
