great passionate, funny, professor, he's tests are base on the notes.(no txtbook) extra credit on exams if you attend his class.4 tests and 1, 4-5 page paper on a historic topic or person. highly recomend him

Took him for 1301 & 1302 - absolutely fantastic! Makes history fun and interesting. If you come to class every day & take good notes, you can get an A - his tests are 100% based on his lectures.

Mr. Dixon is awsome! His lecture flows naturally! 8 week course moves quickly, but if you study and do extra reading it will be a breeze. No Essays, however a book review is due at the end of the semester. I left the class with a different perspective about history!

I enjoyed his class. He is a history buff and teaches his students what he has learned throughout his life and not just what is in the text book. He is in his 70's but he is really liberal and interesting. I would take him again if he taught any other subjects.
