Doc Herron is a wonderful old man. However, his tests usually include material you haven't talked about much (if at all), and lecture time isn't always helpful. He gets off subject easily, so reading the book is extremely important. Memorizing theorems and proofs is basically half the tests. He will always attempt to help you outside of class.

Kent is a really great guy and an awesome professor. This class was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. In the beginning it is kind of hard, but he makes it fun and worth your wile. He rocks.

Doc is awesome. He is my favorite teacher right now and Nature of Scientific Inquiry is the best FYS class. It is very intersting and Doc will help if you ever need it. He does tend to go off on a tangent, but he can joke with you. An overall really nice guy.

I can't believe that they let him teach that. Granted that he was pretty easy, class was pretty pointless. Makes mistakes and so so jokes. A very nice and caring person. Can't teach calc though.
