This man is the WORST professor I have ever had the displeasure of listening to. He stutters more than he speaks. He goes off on irrelevant tangents about how he used to be made fun of in school. He is rude, he degrades his students, and he has a very difficult time of getting to the point. Avoid taking any of his classes!

He is a very traditional lecturer, you need to pay attention. If you do all of the readings, and attend class you will earn a good grade. His tests test your overall comprehension, not specifics. He is incredibly useful if you feel like you aren't following him.

I wasn't a fan of his lecture style it is very repetitive. But DO NOT buy textbooks for his class unless your absolutely sure you will need them. I bought a bunch of books for his class that I neither used or needed.

He should retire, but since hes still here, try and pay attention if class...if you can. Be prepared to either not get your papers back, or have indecipherable comments put on them. Hope that you get through 1/2 the sylabus

Dr. Janus is a really sweet guy-outside of the classroom. In the classroom, he can really get nasty and negative towards students as a whole. He isn't consistent with tests, never gets past the 6th week of the syllabus, repeats himself constantly, and is a rather dull lecturer.

A very nice man, but his class was honestly a drag. I kept thinking that it had to pick up soon, but it never did. He repeated himself all the time and he could have gotten in much more lecture time if the constant usage of the crutch word 'um' had been eliminated.

Shall we comment on something OTHER than Glenn Janus' lecture style!? Let's. He gives you a TON of freedom academically, which translates into the ability to do research that interests you, and if you take advantage of that he can be a great resource. Also doesn't hurt that he's a real nice guy!
