THE teacher to go to when going into the acting field. He's experienced and gives useful lessons that you will use again and again in the future. Don't expect to think it's all about acting and memorization. The reason he gives you a lot of paper work is to apply yourself. Work is worth it, and a learning experience. Had a lot of fun. And hes cool!

This class was WAY HARDER than it should have been. Its an elective for Christs sake and it was way harder than any English class Ive ever taken! Kenyatta is a very tough grader and wont budge once hes made a decision about what kind of student you are. Hes hard to work with. BEWARE. This class was extremely challenging.

Really great teacher. Acting isn't easy for everyone, but he makes it especially easy for you to break out of your comfort zone, even if you aren't an actor! I just took the class for a credit, and I really enjoyed it. He's a solid grader but he's very clear with what he wants, I received a B+ because of a last second issue, but it's an easy A.

Cannot recommend him enough if you actually want to improve in theater. As a previous comment said, only take him if you are VERY serious about theater. Take him if you would like a new perspective on acting, he's very vocal about what he likes and what he doesn't. Will put you on the spot. He will challenge you to become a better actor.

He's great. You do need to read the book and take notes on it. There are multiple quizzes on the same material. Multiple choice but with more than one answer. Definitely read and know your stuff. He's there for you and will help you out in terms of feedback after class or at other times. He is a great teacher and is hilarious.

Kenyatta is a cool guy, and he's a good professor. He definitely does not make the class an Easy A class, but I got an A from working hard and using all the feedback he gave to me, which is what a good theatre person is supposed to do. The class is heavy with work and should not be taken lightly or for an A, theatre isn't THAT easy. Great class!

He is a very funny and entertaining professor. He is a very nice guy. He always smiles and has a happy looking face. He is a little bit on the strict side, but he is always happy to help struggling students. If you work hard you can pass his class. He is overall a good professor.

Mr. Kenyatta is passionate and very popular around campus and the theater department. If you are open you can learn alot. The theater class is heavy in writing. He is a great coach but very busy so he does not go in to depth on what he wants. He is very funny yet moody. If you want to excel as an actor take the class with him. Easy A. NO WAy!

KenYatta's great! He wnts you to read the textbook, but what teacher doesn't? We'll do fun warm ups in class, then reherse scenes, but they're all about 4 pages long, and he gives you plenty of time to reherse and be coached. Sometimes he is vague with what he wants, but thet is only because he has faith in your ability.

FOR TH109 he was the best professor ever. I don't know how he is in other classes but fundamentals of acting there is no better professor. I had 0 acting experience day 1 and came out so confident. He's goofy and very understanding. just be open minded and you'll get an A. be willing to play and acting will follow.

didnt enjoy the class. thought introduction to theatre would be more acting out plays and getting used to characters. felt like was in an art history class. at the beginning of the semester was excited for it, but by the time got in the middle, hated it and wanted the semester to end quickly. we even got a midterm for THEATRE. class is just wack.

I like Kenyatta. I also love the book we're using. I thought I was too good for beginning acting (I've acted for a very long time). But I've learned so much. While he can come off as condescending at times, his insights are useful and really benefit the performer. Sometimes it's hard to get info out of him though.

For Theater 109 he was amazing. I have heard that with other classes he isn't as good. But with 109 he is great! He can be a little disorganized but he knows what he is talking about. And I did learn a lot even tho I have been acting for ages already. I would deff. recommend him as a teacher for 109.
