Comment:

Madame Karst was by is my favorite professor thus far. She is an incredible teacher, and genuinely cares about her students. If you put in the effort, she will work with you to make sure you understand the material to the best of your ability. Attendance matters, the class is very fast paced so one missed class will make it difficult to keep up.

Love her, wish I could take FR3 with her, but she's not teaching it. The person commenting just before mine is totally wrong about Madame giving the answers to the test the day before the test. She gives a practice test with the same format, but the real test questions are totally different. You have to really know your stuff in order to pass.

Madame Karst is a great Professor, she goes over every page in the text book and helps you in any way she can. Showing up to class is important but she makes it very easy. The day before the test she gives you the answers and explains everything you need to know. Not much homework and attendance is mandatory, but if you let her know she excuses you

Madame Karst is amazing! She's super hilarious, and you will definitely leave class with a smile. There are homework due on the day of each test. Make sure you are there on review days, which are usually the day before the test. They are really helpful and she clarifies anything you question. Definitely reccomend her for French 1 and 2!

Im so sad class is almost over : shes the only professor that brightens up my day. I have never seen someone whos this patient. She answers every questions even if its stupid. She always have a smile on her face. I recommend French 1 students to take her again in French 2!! French 2 syllabus is exactly the same as french 1.

She is a wonderful teacher! Learning a new language is difficult, but she breaks it down so easily for you to understand. She's always in a great mood as well, and is always there to help her students by making practice exercises.

Such a lovely teacher! i fell in love with French because of her. Very friendly and funny. Explains things clearly. Homework due dates and test dates are already on the syllabus. Learning a language is not easy, but youll be ok if you work for it. Jadore étudier le français et prof Karst!

French is my second foreign language. Since French is not easy to pick up, so I won't say the class is easy. But Laura is the sweetest professor I met from De Anza! Highly recommend if you wanna learn French!

I am not a student of Madame Karst because french is my 1st language. I talk often to her in french. The person who made the commentary that she has an american accent is wrong and doesn't speak good french. When I met Madame Karst I was sure that she was french until she tell me she is american. I was so surprised. She talks like a native speaker!

She is really nice and she knows the french language well. She speaks fluent french however because french is her second language she has an american french accent and she seems to be more comfortable with her english. personally, this did not help me at all in speaking and hearing comprehension, which sucks.

Mme K is my fave teacher ever. She explains hard grammar so clearly, and with humor at the same time. Work is graded & returned faster than any teacher in my life. She obviously loves teaching & French, and she wants you to do well. But you gotta work. She's sweet & caring, but doesn't accept lame excuses. NOT a class for slackers. Awesome teacher!
