Mme Thao is a super wonderful professor! She has a great sense of humor and teaches in a way that can be easily understood. She has notes and recordings for each lesson on Canvas. She corrects every small errors on my writings. Exams are easy. She's super nice and super helpful! So glad I can take her French 2 before she retires next year.

Mme Thao is a gem who loves teaching French and cares so much for her students. She wants nothing but for her students to succeed. Mdm Thao is the best! You will learn so much from her about French language, culture, etc. Her classes are fun and inspirational, educational, and informative. At the end, you will appreciate how much you have learned about French.

Even though her class was everyday and can be time-consuming, she's legitimately a great teacher to those interested in learning a foreign language. As there are some midterms where one can do it with a group or by themselves, she eases the ache by helping students confused with terms.

What a sweet person. She's the type of teacher that makes you want to learn. She is very helpful. If you do your homework and dedicate at least 30 minutes to your studies, you're good to go for the tests. Also, don't be afraid to participate in class! She loves it when people participate.

Please do yourself a favor and take Madame Thao. She is such a sweetheart and an excellent teacher. the class was intense, but it has really strengthened both my speaking and comprehension skills. If you care to learn the language, then I would definitely recommend this class.

the best professor ever. read the book ahead of time for maximum learning though because she likes tangents :) but if you are considering learning french wit her, go for it! she grades easily if she can tell you are really trying.

My First qtr in French with Mme thao. She is the most amazing person ever. She cares about her students a lot, and gives a lot of chances. She is very helpful and patient. She has such a amazing personality and makes learning feench fun. Take her if you want the overall experience.

Being an international student, I was skeptical and nervous about the course. However, Professor Thao's lecture and desire to help students calmed me down. I had a very difficult time grasping the material but Thao went out of her way to help me. Show up and participate in class everyday. Take good notes and you will be just fine.

Her goal is to make you ready for FR2. If she sees that you need help, she'll talk to you and give you some options for tutoring or you can come to her other classes to get a better understanding. She couldn't have made the class more enjoyable: she's funny, caring, and truly does her best to set her students up for success. An exam for each cahpter, but she provides lots of tools and takes the time for all the understand. Not just the nicest professor, but one of the nicest people I've ever met at De Anza. seriously, this is the best teacher at De Anza. I took french one and received an A+. She is very helpful and very kind as well. she cares ALOT about her students and make sure you get a good grade. she helps her students alot and make sure everyone undertands and are on the gt track.
