As I stumbled upon this site, I read comment about Leonard S and they were all so TRUE. His famous line was everything was Mickey Mouse. My two room mates were straight A students while I had a 3.5 GPA. I recall answering exam the same way as them, and they got B+s and I got a C. He was the best teacher I ever had. I never pushed myself harder, and never knew how good I could be until his class. So thank you for that.

Comment:

The man had not tolerance for fools and anyone who gave him a bad rating was most likely reacting to that. While not his greatest of students I was able to open him up and actually was told a politically incorrect jokes by him. Some people teach you, others wake you up. Thank you Mr. Sokoloff I am wide awake and running a labratory.

Unfortunetely he is still teaching. I can't believe he has lasted this long considering his track record with quizes and exams. If your students are getting an average of 46 on exams repeatedly then something is not right with you teaching. He has no will to answer questions he determines to be "Mickey Mouse". Stay away from him if you can.

Put it this way, He feels that it is his job to determine who will fail or pass in the EET program. So be prepared for tedious labs, long homeworks, quizzes on material that hasn't been covered completely, and boring lectures that get annoying because he insists on insulting the students.

DEATH!!! Labs are too hard. Loves to insult us by saying things such as "its a Mickey Mouse circuit" or "all you need is eyes to do this." Very scary and hard professor who is going to kill whoever takes him. Have a social life? Kiss it good-bye while you take this guy. Prepare to live in the lab...

Knows his stuff, just can't teach it,because he does not know how to interact with students,can't ask him questions in the lab.His labs will give you nightmares.Your fail the lab you fail the course.He is just not friendly at all, and a gpa reducer.

Tends to skip steps. Doesnt like to be asked questions or has no patience some times. Likes to give quizes on material he hasnt reviewed in depth yet, so after you fail he goes over it. Leaves us wondering what to do in lab with little or no help at all.

This prof makes you respect him through fear.Fear of failing!He'll give you a week to solve one simple equation for HW.Then give you 2 days to do 50 impossible HW problems that fill up 8 pages front and back.Took a while but we got him to crack a smile.

He is tough but when you finish is class you will have taken approximately 100 headache pills and given up your whole social life. He is extremely tough but also very effective. You learn, not just receive a grade.

He is very helpful, but he loves to see students fail quizzes and he gives out homeworks to purposely cause headaches. :)
