How does this guy have good reviews?? This class seems to have no direction. He doesn't use a textbook and it seems he is just randomly making up material for this course. He doesn't teach, he just copies notes on the board the entire class while the majority of the class has no idea what we are supposed to be learning.

Comment:
In typical BU fashion, this guy is terrible at teaching. He copies notes onto the board for 2 hours and mumbles to himself. If he would just upload the notes to Blackboard, lecture would be completely pointless. He is a bad teacher, but on BU scale, he is ok.

The nicest teacher. He is very concise, but his calculations may sometimes leave you dazed if you don't understand the material completely. Otherwise, open-book exams and little homework (only half-long semester course). Terrific guy.

His lectures are presented in perfect logical order, in the most clear handwriting ever. Yet his office looks like a landfill. Stochastic Processes and Information Theory are cake to this guy, and they will be to you too. When not with his Phd students, will converse intelligently on amazing range of topics.

To be honest, his pedagogy is really poor -- he copies his personal notes onto the board (in beautiful handwriting). But somehow he is extremely effective, very funny, and a joy to have as a professor. I looked forward to his class every day, and was sorry when it was over.

The most beloved professor in ECE. He is the kindest and brightest (to be honest, he's genius). No wonder he's the only distinguished professor in the college of engineering. He makes stochastic process look like linear algebra! Ever heard of a big name Kolmokorov? That's one of his friends!!! The best professor ever...

Consistently 15-20 minutes late for class, and keeps you right till the end. Copy what's on the board verbatim into your notebook and you'll get an A. He gives open-book exams. The notes for class are from 1994. :)
