AVOID AVOID AVOID. Mean spirited woman who seems to hate what she does. If you don't want to be publicly embarrassed and disrespected you should find another professor. The class and material itself is cool but she doesn't make students feel welcome or as if they can ask questions. She actively makes fun of students about this in a sarcastic way

Tests are online multiple choice in class. She doesn't teach anything but only goes over the homework in class, which you would have already completed. If you don't show up to class, because it's pointless and she doesn't actually teach anything , then she will throw a fit when you do show up for the tests. Easy class, but she just sits there.

All work is in the syllabus and considering it was a Saturday class and you only visit once a week, its best not to miss any class. Homework every week, but it's not difficult. Make sure you study notes and turn in homework.

Took the course as half lecture/half online. We met up twice a week and her lectures were barely considered as lectures, since she would assign videos to "teach us" instead of her. When asked for help or clarification, she was rude and acted "high and mighty." Acted as if we were kindergartners which was very irritating. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.

This professor expects you to already know how to do the labs. She is not good at assisting the students. If she is busy with one student, then you are left on your own to do the assignments. On top of not helping us with the assignments, she is a tough grader. Not attentive at all. I would never suggest this class to anyone.

Homework is easy with a lot of tools given to help you but I still feel like I gained a good grip on statistics. Professor responds to emails quickly and she truly wants her students to succeed. Tests were easy and were true to her exam study material and allows formula sheet and 3x5 card for notes. Was not overwhelmed with work at any time

To be honest with you guys, this lady is the easiest class I have ever taken. She makes things very easy for her students and tries to as much as possible to give extra points. Honestly, it would be insane to see someone complain about this prof. because if you think she's hard, then I don't think you can find any professor easy.

MAT1033 Not only was the whole class online, but there was Little to no in-class teaching. Maybe 20 minutes a week, she didn't answer questions if she didn't want to, very rude and unhelpful to all students. Didn't make an effort to care about student's understanding but talked about her disappointment all class when the whole class failed tests.

WORST PROFESSOR I've ever taken in my 22 years as a student. Do not do ANYTHING relating to racism in America! She shows favoritism and does not explain why she takes points off. She took 20pts off for my speech beig 3 mins too long ! Did not give me full credit on make up week. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR !!!!

Great class, the lectures follow the book. She gives you the answers to the homework that is due the following week. Make sure you come to class and SIGN IN. If you don't sign in within fifteen minutes, you will not get participation points for that class. She gives you the exact questions and answers that will be on the midterm and final.

you get points for coming to class!!! Tells you the homework answers before you leave class and only a few other assignments. She gives you 910 facts at the end of each class and they are the questions for the Midterm!!! study those and you are golden. Final isn't cumulative. Not super interesting but a good class to knock out a science. Easy A

Very sweet lady. I took this class, not realizing it was an 8 week class and felt it was a VERY easy class. My only iffy is she would give me grades like 89% or 99%...like come on. Other than that extreme EASY A.

Very sweet soft spoken and down to earth proffessor. Talks and teaches slowly but you will learn alot from the lessons.Tests and assignments are easy, and she is not to strict on grading if you miss one.Deffinately recomend her if you are taking speech class.

Comment:

Prof. Martin is great. She makes an intimidating class like public speaking much more enjoyable. Do the work and you'll be fine. Frequent take-home chapter quizzes, but not hard at all. Her political views were evident, but she was always very kind, open-minded and objective and grades on individual merit, not topic choices. Recommended!

Was terrified of the thought of taking this class and she made it so simple. Very pleasant, soft spoken. goes out of her way to help if asked. Come to class, on time, listen, do quizzes, journals, will definitely get an A.
