Avoid at all cost! Unless you like myself learn well enough reading the book this class is a nightmare. I wore headphones just so I wouldnt hear her teaching. She talked about the specific calculator she used a solid 40% of every class and if you happened to use a different one that's why your answer is different. Not you need help or her to teach

She is a horrible teacher. She spends more time adjusting the fan than anything else. She gives extra credit which you will need since she won't teach enough for you to pass any tests. She is rude when you ask a question or don't understand. If you do not know math you should find another teacher.

If you are not already familiar with the material, you will need to teach yourself and find help elsewhere. All her examples are from of the book; she just rewrites them without further explanations. She refuses to answer some direct questions. If you have weak math skills, find a teacher that can teach because she can’t.

Mrs. Harbour's class was very difficult if you can't teach yourself, she write on the bored but doesn't explain anything and skips over steps while "teaching" I would not recommend taking her class

She knows her stuff but if this isn't a refresher class for you its going to be hard because she teaches things differently than any other math professors I've had. Tests only have about 10 questions but she checks hw which she gives the answers to on Angel and she gives a lot of extra credit!

Probably the most insanely terrible math teacher ever. Buy the book and live in the math lab. She skips steps an makes it extremely difficult to learn and understand her. She does grade homework and bonuses but she's not the best teacher. You can tell she knows what she's teaching but she can't project it on the board.

Math is not a strong point for me, so I found this class to be confusing and disheartening. When working out problems, Ms. Harbour leaves out many of the steps taken to solve them, and seems to get irritated when asked to explain the steps that were skipped. Plenty of extra credit, but not much actual teaching, IMO. Good as refresher course.

This professor may be good for some but was not good for me. She has an elementary style and could not seem to answer questions that were asked (spoke in circles). She does offer a lot of extra credit and will meet with you if need be but this class was difficult. Seems to talk in monotone at times.

Took her for intermediate algebra. I don't understand anyone who said bad things about her. There are times that I didn't understand things. If she couldn't explain in class, I went to her office and she took the time to explain until I understood. Got an A. She gives lots of extra credit. Do the extra credit, the homework and study..you will pass!

Not a bad teacher, gives worksheets and gives the answers, doesnt check the answers just looks to see if you did the work, gives bonuses almost every week and doesnt check to make sure they are right, tests are too bad, i failed mrs ridders class so i have to take this one and it is 100% better

Unless you are excellent in math, for your own sake find a different professor. She does not teach and all she does is example problems, But does not teach you the methods on how to solve that problem. She expects you to already know the material back and front before taking the class. When you stop her during lecture, she get's angry. RUN AWAY!!!

Be prepared to teach yourself all of the work. she expects you to know all of the material, even if you have never seen it before. She will put a problem on the board, and solve it so fast and then let you figure out how she did it. Definitely DO NOT recommend unless you are extremely good at math.

Cocoa MAC 1105 College Algebra. If you turn in all of your HW worksheets (2 questions) and bonuses you will pass this class if you score somewhat decent on the test. The teacher offers extra help during office hours if you need it. I plan on taking all of her classes! She is NOT a bad teacher at all. Everyone SHOULD pass

I had her for College Algebra. If have to do all the worksheets. One per class 2 ques. each. Plus all the Bonus ques One per class.And get high D's or low C's on the test and You can still past with a C and thats the magic Letter. The WKs Answers are on Angle and Bonus Anwsers are in Student Solution Manual. Take her &turn everything in & youl pass

She was nice but wasn't very good at explaining problems. Her notes were totaling different then the textbook. If you are not good at math don't take her class. Being in class was so boring it was hard to pay attention at times.

Horrible teacher! i suck at math and i read all the comments from other people on this website who prviously had her because they said she gives tons of extra credit which she does but it still didnt help me. she expects you to know the material which most of us and is overobssesed by cleaning her white board. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! es

If you want to fail and not learn anything, I highly recommend Harbor. If you dont believe me, ask anyone who has taken her. WORST mistake of my college years yet. If anything, I lost math skills by taking her class. Anytime her name is mentioned anywhere at school, you will hear people talking about how bad she is. Im surprised she got hired.sadly
