Dr. Palumbo is, sincerely, an exceptional professor. She is moving and always helpful. Comprehension of reading is necessary to pass but, she does go into detail in class. Midterms and finals are lengthy. Lenient grader but, you must demonstrate a certain amount of material comprehension. Poetry was never my cup of tea but, this class was awesome.

Class is work-intensive at the beginning but gets easier. Assigned readings are very interesting and class discussions on the readings are helpful. Do the work, pay attention during lectures, and an A will be easy to achieve. Dr. Palumbo is truly an asset to Cerritos College and I hope every student gets the opportunity to take one of her classes.

Dr. Palumbo is one of the best professors at Cerritos. She made me fall in love with literature. She genuinely cares for her students and often offers help and advice. She makes the material easier to understand and interesting. If you can, TAKE ONE OF HER CLASSES, I am taking more of her classes next semester.

I am writing this as a current student at UC Berkeley who is majoring in English. Professor Palumbo not only nurtured my writing skills, but she also provided a space for creativity. I believe this actually cultivated my interest to look for answers that engage with text and allowed me to see the beauty in the world around me through literature.

She is a GREAT professor! It's an honors class, so she will make you work for it. But, if you do your work on time and keep up you should get an A. She does require a lot of reading. She really does care about her students. Love going to her class.

Professor Palumbo is THE best English prof. She is enthusiastic, helpful, and approachable. Her class consists of weekly reading quizzes, and group work. It's important to show up to class because she explains the reading so well. Definitely take her if you can. Only downside is that it's a 3 hour class, but she's so upbeat, it goes by faster.

The heavy reading for this class as well as the depth of analysis has prepared me for the more advanced texts (like The Leviathan) I will read now that I have transferred. Dr. P. is dedicated to helping us out. Her essay critiques have made me a stronger writer. She is one of the best profs at Cerritos, take her class even if its not your major!

I love Palumbo. She's one of the best profs at Cerritos. Her WS class was so interesting, it honestly makes you never want to miss a day. She's a super easy essay grader, although she gives quizzes almost every week, they're short, and if you do the readings, you'll pass.

Dr. Palumbo is one of the best English professors you could possibly have. Keep up with the readings (or at least Sparknotes) and put forth somewhat of an effort in your assignments and there is no reason why you should not get an A.

Prof. Palumbo is incredible. Passion, entertaining, and knowledge are synonymous to her nature. Her tests are in essay format. Notes completely reflect things to be covered in the exam(s). She is very open to meeting with students for questions concerning class and transferring. Good natured. However, will not tolerate tardiness and disrespect.

Another amazing semester with Dr. Palumbo. I am not an English major but will take as many English classes as I can with her. She is an awe-inspiring professor and an even better human being. Compassionate, understanding and one of the biggest student advocates I have ever met. This woman should be at an Ivy League, we are lucky to have her. Yay!

She sets each student up for success and is always on the student's side. Take her class and be prepared to work hard, but leave with the utmost confidence and motivation.

I am returning to school after 20 years and use this site. Ms. Palumbo left such an impression on me in 1988, that I had to look her up here. All the good reviews are spot on. She is insightful, helpful, and fair. Her instruction lead me to really see what an author might be getting at: to really read and think. Very good.
