Incredible guy. He's definitely a tough grader, but he's fair. Highly recommend taking his class if you're a PoliSci major, and even if you aren't. His lectures are engaging and he's great in office hours.

Comment:

Professor Cass is without a doubt the best professor in the Political Science department. His lectures are always engaging and there is never a dull class. The readings are not needed at all in the intro course, just make sure to go to class and take very good notes on everything he says.

Professor Cass epitomizes a great professor. He is brilliant, clear, and very helpful. Readings are long (and sometimes boring) but his lectures are really interesting. I definitely had to work for my grade, but it was worth it.

Easily the best professor I've had here at Holy Cross. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable on the subject, but he is clearly passionate about his work and cares deeply about his students. He is definitely a challenging professor, and pushes you to do your best. Couldn't recommend him enough.

Cass is the best teacher that I have ever had. I loved both Int'l Relations and Int'l Political Economy. I learned so much and had truly enjoyed the class. If you are a political science student at HC you have to take this man.

Best teacher I have ever had. Very tough though, you have to work for your grades. Fair grader though, really improves your work, and makes you think. Office hours are extremely helpful. Nicest guy in the world. Tests are alright, case studies are tough, however he will always go over your ideas with you. Take this man, or miss out.

Professor Cass is the most amazing professor at Holy Cross!!!! He is very charming in class and keeps you attentive. However, he tends to speak very fast. He is willing to put in extra time to work with you on paper which is helpful. Open notes exam is long, but worth it. All POLS majors should take a class with him!!!!

Excellent professor. This class was very challenging but well worth it. There is a lot of reading and the papers are very involved, but I was never bored in the class and I learned a lot. Highly recommended if you are a political science or environmental studies major...or if you're interested in the material!

Cass is amazing! He's a great guy, with a sense of humor and is very fair. Rare to most professors, he's intellect is complimented with a gift to teach. If you do your work, you will do well and learn more than you have in any other class. I would recommend him to anyone!
