cool teacher. Lecture based. very knowledgeable, was intimidated by reviews on here, but if you pay attention, study and come to class you will do fine. She is excellent at reading e-mails and extra credit when she feels that it is needed.

Really learned a lot of information in this class, although it was a tough A to acquire. If you dont attend class you will fail, very lecture heavy. if you have the opportunity to take nutrition online take NUTRITION ONLINE, VERY EASY 'A'

Some of her methods are a bit ridiculous, but overall she is a good professor. I think she could use a little more compassion in some areas, but again overall she is a good professor.

This class is very informative. You learn interesting things and you can apply it to your daily life. You have to study to earn your grade. It is a pretty fair class. DON'T buy the book!!!! All you the things you need to know are in her outline. Even if she does not take attendance you should come to class.

Dr. Pearce is not a bad professor by any means, but her class is definitely not easy. Her tests and quizzes are very detail oriented, and a lot of times they include things that are not on her outlines but over things that she mentions in class. If you skip class a lot you definitely will not pass.

Yes this class is hard, don't take it if you want an easy A. There are 5 quizzes 3 exams and a cumulative final. Again, its HARD. But I actually really liked her. She's fun and explains things well. I've learned so much from taking this class and use the knowledge in my everyday life. If you are good at memorizing, this class isn't that difficult.

Avoid this class. Her tests and quizzes are very difficult and very detailed oriented. The study guides and outlines are no help at all. I would recommend having taken similar classes or take another professor if you value your GPA.

She's okay, but I would recommend taking this class with a different professor. I've heard others are MUCH easier. You MUST study, A LOT. She tests you on very small details, and she sometimes tries to trick you. All the quizzes are true/false, which is sometimes hard. All the tests are multiple choice. She's not awful, but not easy.

Avoid. Her quizzes each class period are over the lab that you are about to do, not the previous one. Impossible! The homework assignment we had, she never clarified that it was supposed to be typed, so did not receive full credit for that. Does not give you anything to study off of. Doesn't give you any kind of credit for actually doing the lab.

After reading the reviews on here I was scared to take this class. I have to say that it wasn't as bad as everyone made it sound. Just make sure you print the outlines off blackboard and study those. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. I also recorded the lectures which really, REALLY helps. I liked her!

Great professor - very smart and helpful. Genuinely fun person. The material is difficult and confusing, but if you come to class *regularly* it is no problem. She gives extra credit sometimes too, but not much. I have learned so much about health and nutrition from this class - and it is applicable to daily life! You will learn so much :D

She is a really great teacher. She tries to make learning fun. She will also help you with any questions you have. As long as you show up and take notes, then you will study. She gives outlines for the chapters so you just have to fill them in. Great teacher!

Dr. Pearce is easily one of the best lecturers on campus. She is impossibly knowledgeable within her subject matter and presents material in a clear and concise manner. Attendance is effectively required, and the tests are...intense. Dr. Pearce grades without mercy. Study the notes, the lecture, the book, and you'll do well. Just...don't slack off.

Basically what everyone else said. If you want to do good on her test, READ THE BOOK, and not just the day before the test. Also, write down everything she says in lecture, no matter how minor it seems, there is a good possibility it will be on the test.
