I absolutely adore her! She is so nice, and the class is actually fun as long as you just pay attention and do your homework. She is very lenient and actually cares about what you read. The novels she assigns are super funny, overall I would take her again.

Super caring and interactive prof. Class is very heavy on writing assignments. At least one due every class so keep up but she is okay with late turn ins. 3 exams, 3 quizzes, essays, writing assignments, and a final paper. Its an easy A as long as you do the work. Work can be challenging at times but usually manageable. Recommend!

I enjoyed her class because as long as you showed up you got credit. She was very confusing however about what was expected of us and would often ramble during class. I would recommend her to students who are very strong in the spanish language, because then it is an easy class as long as you do the work.

super nice lady, VERY understanding and flexible with assignments. really chill class setting; good for listening comprehension, reading, and speaking skills but doesn't really teach any grammar.

She is extremely nice and very flexible with the due dates. Plus, the tests are very easy and there was no final! Just a paper. Only complaint is that she pretty much only speaks in Spanish and that can be hard to understand. But she is good about repeating a lot.

She is a very nice professor. The class doesn't give you much of an opportunity to practice speaking, but that is my only complaint. She is an easy grader. I would definitely recommend this class (especially since living in Miami will give you plenty of opportunities to practice speaking if you want anyway)

Medical terminology class- very interesting and easy. More like a current events in health topics in latin america class. Not a lot of work but interesting. Tests were easy.

Great teacher. She understands that Spanish is not your first language and is always willing to help. This class definitely gave me more confidence in spanish. There are a few tests but don't worry as long as you pay attention during discussions you'll be fine. Make sure you get a head start on the final paper it is a long one!

I love her! She is a hard grader in my opinion but i got an A because worked hard and always made up missed work. She is understanding and very very flexible. Genuinely wants you to do well. If you don't try she won't like you so do your best.

I love basta, she is so nice & really helpful. She tells you straight up when your not doing so well but is willing to help you or find some help for you. She is a moderate grader, papers she will mark up though, but for your own good. I loved her and am taking her again next semester =)

She is an amazing teacher. I'm so glad I took her. I took 211 in the summer in Chile and I didn't get to learn much of the subjunctive so she was really helpful. As long as you show some improvement and hard work, she is very forgiving. She has her ways for compensating for grades if she sees that you are trying! I love her!

I've learned so much from this professor. She goes into great depth with the Spanish stories, but if you show up to class, it's not hard at all to get an A (or A+ for that matter). It's funny to listen to her great stories too... she's just an amazing person in general. Take her!

Awesome Spanish Proffesor. Truly understanding and willing to help. Really wants her students to do well. Speaks quickly but will meet with you to explain anything that you are unclear on. Not a difficult grader just wants to see lots of effort and improvement. The best Spanish professor I've had yet at UM. I definitely recommend her 100 times!
