BEST ECON TEACHER! I learned so much and had fun at the same time. Finck is great at explaining and using real world examples to help us learn. He doesn't post notes, so make sure to show up and take good notes. If you have good notes and study a little, you're set for the tests. 5 tests are your only grade in the class, with an optional final

He is a great professor for microeconomics!!!!! Although attendance isnt required- definitely go to his lectures!! He makes it interesting while being super funny!! There are 5 exams, but he prepares you very well for them. 100% recommend!!!!!!!!

Great professor and really works hard to teach his material. The class is not to hard and most of the old test are online and with a little bit of effort, an A is defiantly achievable.

5 exams in this class not including the final. Attendance is not mandatory but if you don't go you will be so far behind. Very good teacher and super helpful. I went to office hours a lot and that really helped. He's funny but freaks out when he finds people cheating on exams and will give you a 0 if you do.

If you have to take Micro, TAKE FINCK! He is amazing and makes lectures fun. While it is not mandatory to come to class, he does not give out the notes so GO. He cares about his students and wants them to do well, so even though there is only 5 tests, he is willing to work with students, especially if they take the optional final.

Dr. Finck is a great instructor. He is very clear on what he wants out of his students in his class. This class is test heavy so make sure to study all of his notes. Overall, a wonderful person.

Comment:

Professor Finck is a hilarious teacher who truly wants his students to succeed. His class is lecture heavy and the only grades are exams. He gives you an optional final which is great and his lectures are very helpful! Great teacher would definitely take again!!

Dr. Finck is a fantastic lecturer who clearly loves teaching economics. His lectures are based on powerpoints that are color-coated and well organized. He is really good at explaining each topic with detailed examples and has clearly taught the material for a long time. Studying past tests is the key to an A in the class.

Graded by 5 tests and an optional final (!) that cant hurt you. Well-taught course. Study the slides and maybe an old test or two and youll be set. Brief overall description: Moderately Twitter famous gem of an economics professor. Dont do anything stupid, though. Hell tweet about it and youll deserve the anonymous shame it yields.

Comment:

Professor Finck is a very good lecturer. He explains everything thoroughly with examples and he weaves in funny stories and jokes to keep you interested. Exams can be difficult for he is known for writing "evil" multiple-choice questions, but if you study a good bit you should be alright. Definitely recommend.

Professor Finck really knows economics. He connects topics across chapters easily and is pretty engaging during his lectures. Also, he answers questions very well and talks a lot about why things happen in economics to help you understand, not memorize. However, his tests can be very difficult. To get an A, studying is almost mandatory.

Absolutely hilarious and great guy. If you put in the effort, the class is not too difficult. He is always available in office hours to answer questions. Tests can be pretty difficult, but if you are studying you should do fine.

Great class, though I found it harder than micro. Only grade is 4 tests plus an optional final. Show up to class (notes not on canvas), stay up with the material, and you'll be fine. The final is easy and can only help your grade. Don't get the book.
