Louis Goodman is definitely passionate about old fashioned design. But he isn't fit to teach. Instead of helping those who need design help, he talks about your character to other students. Take his course if you're good at making models and nothing more. No clear grading criteria, inaccessible, outdated design thought.

Great professor and great man. Lou really cares about your educational development and making sure you know all the necessary things to develop a well crafted and well thought out building. He guided the process without being overbearing and is committed to everyone's success. In the end you'll have a beautiful project and learn alot. Take him!

Amazing teacher, great human being. I read the reviews about his favoritism and well... he does, BUT he does work hard to teach everyone without exception. Plus, if he didn't like you, you are probably not likable, cause he has good taste...

Possibly one of the best Professors Pratt has left. Not only a true architect, but a true "teacher". He allows you to be personal with your design, and pays close attention to the values YOU hold so clearly about your project, and helps you to project them in a successful manner.

he is only willing to help those that he likes. he has no out of class time. he is a nice person out of class and a great architect. he will give you the design run around; which will confuse and frustrate you. and if you don't do it his way you will frustrate him too... goodluck!!!

students who can't normally think through a design project will love him. students who are interested in becoming better designers will be bored. very arrogant, and for what? should be teaching in art and design because he's all about form, but can't think space.

he seems to give no work but really its expected in the student to produce what they pay these teachers for. no work = no criticism. he helps you realize practicality with abstraction and in a way opens the door for a compromise. crazy VS practical.
