From her course, I get the feeling that she's been going through a divorce for the past 10 years. Worst online class I have ever taken.

Dr. Tyler is a very smart woman as others have stated, but the way this course is designed is way too extreme for a general psych course. Points are very easily deducted form quizzess/tests, too many questions to answer in the short amount of time given for weekly quizzes, very lengthy lectures/videos to listen to. I now have to retake elsewhere.

Great lady, terrible teacher. I listened to lectures (mostly her ranting about random facts that had nothing to do with psych) I read the textbook, highlighted important terms, and took notes on each chapter. I still failed her tests. She takes points off if it isn't exactly how she wants it, even if it is correct. Find someone else.

Not hard but she is PICKY Will mark off points for correct answers that are phrased slightly differently from her answer key TWO timed long-answer quizzes per week with STRICT deadlines. WAY too much nonsense busywork for the amount you'll actually learn She feels like an old person that resents online classes so fills them with extra busywork

Dr. Tyler is a very knowledgeable woman but does not always teach the class as if it's an introductory psychology class. She is very nice but also is a very tough grader. She herself says that you should be studying 6 hours a week for her class. I recommend her but do be prepared for the intense workload if you do decide to take her.

It is a hard class. Each week you listen to a 2 hour lecture, have discussion boards, 3 exams, a few assignments, and a final. Each one was really hard and none of them were multiple choice. Im also typically an A or B student and got a D. I also took it online and it got messed up and I missed the last 30 questions causing me to fail my final

She is a great woman, and extremely funny. She keeps you entertained throughout the class lecture. Once its time for grading, she is a completely different beast. Be ready to read heavy and listen to lectures in class and out of class. I only recommend taking this class if this its the only class your taking, and if you dont have a life.

She's a good teacher in class, BUT the worst grader ever. She's incredibly petty about every little thing and doesn't answer questions well.

Audio lectures last anywhere from 1.5 hrs - 3 hrs, and consist of 99% fluff and 1% important content. That 1% is also ALWAYS on the test and NEVER covered in the actual textbook. Requires very specific, detailed answers verbatim from her own words and does not make her grading criteria clear. It's INTRO Psych, not advanced.

Pro. Tyler is a great person and very smart and sweet. .... But her class is insane you have so much to read it makes you feel like your in a rush . I would warn people not to take her class if you have other classes ,a full time job, or family to support at home you will not pass unless you read more then 10 hours a week.

Dr. Tyler was an amazing teacher, but don't expect to pass her class without putting some effort into it. Independent study is super helpful and if you read and study outside of the class, you're sure to pass. Don't expect to show up and fall asleep in class or come and just ask for extra credit to pass. She offers help to those who help themselves

She shows movies during class and asks you to listen to lectures on your own time (she records them all so that she doesn't have to teach directly) but requires attendance. When you listen to them, you discover they're all longer than a normal class period; so you need 10 hours/week just to get the material before you study! No wonder most fail.

Professor tyler knows a lot about her field. This class isn't easy so be ready to work hard, pay attn, and ask questions. She gives you everything you need to succeed in her class. READ THE STUDY GUIDES!!! if you know them you will do fine on the tests. And be specific when writing short answer questions. Over all good class, I learned a lot.

On my 1st day of class, a lady said that out of the 20 of us, only 4 of us will pass. I thought she was joking but she wasn't. Her class is insanely hard. She's a nice lady and very smart but she's bad at teaching. If you're signed up, I'd drop. I wish I did.

One of few professors who expect you to actually put forth some semblance of effort. Does an excellent job covering the material in her lectures. The study guides and handouts posted on Blackboard are more than adequate. Don't act a fool and you should be able to pass the course easily.

She gives a lot of information in class that is not on the tests. Read the book, listen to the lectures online, and take notes in class - but there are still stuff on the test that was never gone over. 25% PASS RATE?!

Professor Tyler is very knowledgeable in her field, but if you do not study a minimum of 6 hours a week, read ALL of the material including your textbook, watch the videos and do the study guided you will not pass. Her study guided look like 2-3 page essays. If do take her class good luck!!

Dr. Tyler is a very inconsiderate teacher. She teaches her students as if they already have their PHD. She takes off points for misspelling & you also have to word things verbatim to get full credit. SI is helpful but you can STILL FAIL. She is HORRIBLE and I DON'T RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE TAKES HER COURSE. I had to learn the hard way.
