Comment:

Didn't learn anything about Common Core from her. She avoids the topic because she is stuck in her ways regarding Regents level testing. I will say that the first half of her class involving teaching strategies was helpful, but developing a unit plan with her was pointless. It's nothing I would return to or use (since she doesn't do Common Core.

Learned so much from her! An excellent teacher and she is willing to go out of her way to help everyone! Take her class if you want to be a good teacher! I hope I am as good of a teacher as her one day!

Best teacher in the world hands down!Shes tough but you will learn so much from her!She does not believe in old fashion teaching. She believes in creative teaching. She does not take any BS and cannot stand phony people. Its a lot of work, but you will learn so many things in her class! If you want to become a good teacher then take her class!

This lady is no joke when it comes to the work-the demands of the class are intense. But she's a great professor and incredibly intelligent. If you like the traditional lecture setup in your classroom, don't take Slater. She's nontraditional all the way, and she's great at it.

Worst teacher ever! I am shocked she is still a teacher there. She was the only person to reduce me to tears in my entire educational career! Not to mention she is far from challenging. I learned absolutely nothing about curriculum and instruction. All I learned was how NOT to teach!

Not an easy class by any means, but I have never had a professor with such passion for what she teaches. If you are lazy you will not survive her class, but if you are that lazy you should not be teaching. She is the best teacher I have ever had, I have learned more from her in this one class then I have learned in my education thus far. Take Her!

Way to much work for any level course and yet you have to love her, This class is proablly one of the hardest I have ever taken but Professor Slater is just such a wonderful person and educator that it makes it better, but the work load does get frustrating, but even for the laziest students she motivates you. Hard Class, Great Teacher

I had professor Slater over the summer for foundations. I will never forget her! she was by far the best teacher i have ever had and i learned so much from her on teaching and what kind of teacher i want to be. THANK YOU MRS. SLATER!!!

Very fun in the classroom. Really is a pleasure to learn from her. But have a writing assingment due every class is a little to much even if the course is writing intensive. But minus all the papers she and the class are great! A paper a day is just to much.
