Such a great professor i recommend taking her. If you are going to take something out of her class to the real world is how loving she is. The professor is very kind and not at all a harsh grader. Never had a great professor like this one. Highly recommend

Dr. McGinnis really cares about her students. I really liked her as a person. She's a fair grader on exams and essays. For my class, we had 2 essays, a midterm, and a take-home final. I did well on all three. You have to do the readings at least a little bit because she will call on you in class if you aren't participating.

A good professor, very well-learned and kind. She will learn your name and notice you outside of class. Her lectures get a little dry, so build up some stamina and drink some coffee!

This professor gives a reasonable amount of reading, but expects you to do it all, and do it carefully. Class almost always illuminates things in the reading that you missed. She can be demanding on written work, but is fair. Definitely helped me to understand how to appreciate the Bible as a literary and historical text, and also its theology

One of the best professor one can encounter. She reaches to her students and help them in all the ways she possibly can. She allows you to give her several drafts of your paper for comments and you can do better each time.

Professor McGinnis is a very nice lady. Her lectures are sometimes boring, but she is always willing to help if you need it. She gave two essays for the entire semester, both of which are pretty straightforward. She also allows you to rewrite them for a chance for a better grade.

Does not require a lot of work. Make sure you go to every class, otherwise the exams will be difficult. Really nice professor who loves the subject. Also gives some things from the catholic perspective which is nice if you are interested in that.

Very sweet woman, just not terribly interesting. She's open minded and willing to help. Few grades, lots of reading, not a bad class. I got lots of doodling done, too.

Not incredibly interesting, but not very difficult. The final exam took under 15 minutes. 3 papers the entire class and no quizzes. Most of the homework centers around reading the Bible or other religion books and then you discuss them in the next class.

One of the worst I've had. If your idea or opinion is not identical to hers, you're in trouble. Quizes everyday on the most pointless parts of the reading. If your paper does not interest HER, expect a bad grade. Class lectures are like the blind leading blind. Does not follow her syllabus grading scale. Speaks like she has heartburn or food stuck

she is a very nice woman and willing to help in any way she can. class can be boring because you just pick apart the bible. there are a few super easy tests, essays every week, and a not too tough final. theres really no reason not to take her.

Way too boring if you've been going through a Catholic education before Loyola. This class needs to incorporate more theology than just Catholicism. Perhaps maybe explain what theology actually is!!! And then perhaps you can extend this notion of theology to how different faiths develop. Way too boring and awfully prepared.
