Unfortunately u do need the textbook because you have less than probably 7 assignments out of the book for homework (kind of a waste in my opinion) but this class is seriously so easy. Multiple extra credit opportunities & makes sure you fully understand all of the material. Easiest class at GV with her. Pretty hard to not get an A if u do the work

This prof. was one of the best I have had. She makes this class as painless as possible. She shares fun stories, like the time she went sky diving. She is enjoyable to listen to. She brings treats and if you go to office hours you get extra credit and more treats. Large extra credit assignment at the end of the semester.

This Prof made Stats so much easier! Take with her if you can! If you're stuck she will litterally spoon feed the information to you until you understand it. She knows that stats is difficult for most students and she tries her hardest to help in anyway she can. Attendance not mandatory but this class is very difficult to learn on your own so go!

I've never been good at math but she explains everything really clearly. Her exams and quizzes can be tough just because of tricky wording but other than that her class is pretty straight forward. She gives out 5 million handouts so be ready to get organized.

GVSU is my 3rd college in 4 years and she's hands down the best professor I've ever had. She's extremely helpful and personable. She gives assignments that really help you grasp the material and she's extremely nice and gives a heads up when quizzes are coming and posts class review on BB after each class. So organized!

Prof. Luttenton is easily one of the best at GVSU. She cares for her students and wants to make sure everyone knows the topic before advancing. DO THE UNGRADED ASSIGNMENTS. They are so helpful and only take like 15-20 minutes. Only 2 exams and a final, and you get a notecard for all of them. She is definitely a professor I will try to take again!

Prof. Luttenton is one of the best professors I've had. She's very kind and makes the material easy to learn. She won't cover anything you don't need to know. She's easy to talk to and is more than willing to clear up any confusion. I was dreading statistics before, but this was my favorite class this semester. Definitely recommend!

Such a nice person. Cares about you success and likes to have fun in her own way. Do the homework and labs and you'll be fine. They directly correlate to what will be on the exam. Study for the exams, you can easily get a B on each one. Overall, if you put in effort and show up, can easily get a B+ or A. 17 extra credit points given out over seames

Professor Luttenton is great! Only three exams, and you get use a 5x8 flashcard for the first two and a sheet of paper for the final. She rarely ever assigns homework, but gives a lot of optional opportunities that help you understand the material. If you attend class and do the work, you should have no problem.

If you have to take STA 215 - take Professor Luttenton! She is so clear and really wants you to understand what you are doing. Visit her office hours for help and she'll give you extra credit AND a piece of candy. Don't buy the textbook, you only use a couple problems out of the book at the beginning of the year... just borrow from a classmate.

Her class reminds me of high school, it's very easy to follow along and she makes sure everyone gets it. Not much hard homework, and the exams aren't too bad. I would definitely take her to do well!

I absolutely loved Mrs. Luttenton!!!!! I took this as a gen-ed class and after the first couple of weeks of class I decided I wanted to minor in statistics. She was the most patient, helpful, and understanding professor. By far one of my favorite professors I have had in my college career so far. Take her if you can. You won't regret it.

I am surprised at all the positive feedback. I found Mary extremely unorganized, which seems odd for a stats professor. She rushed through all the material, made it hard to talk to her and ask questions. Also VERY strict about little rules. Definitely do NOT recommend.
