Math was once easy for me,i loved it and then i took this class...everything is self taught,students are constantly correcting her and she often forgets what she is talking about and goes off on a rant that has nothing to do with math then realizes theres only five minutes left in class and hasn't gone over even half the material.

She's really sweet. Makes mistakes on problems. She like class participation so AVIOD taking her morning class b/c everyone is still sleepy. If you take the 1/2 online class everything is self taught. Dont buy the book unless your weak at math. Try getting a class that lasts more than an hour so she can cover more info.

I really enjoyed this class. At times she can be boring but it forced me to pay attention and understand what she was teaching. There are quizzes every week and they are pretty easy. The tests are a bit harder so I would suggest studying. Just do the hw study and you should be fine.

Class was not interesting. She had quizzes every week which is hard for me since Math is a hard concept for me to grasp. She expects you to get the information right away. Tests are very hard.

Professor Berta is an amzing teacher one of the most intellegent women i have ever met, after all you don't get a doctorate by sitting on the couch do you? she knows what she is talking about and is always there if you need her. overall AMAZING TEACHER, youd be lucky to be in her class

You must attend class, do your homework, and ask questions to pass easily. Like me, if math isn't your strong point then she isnt the most recommended teacher for you. she is patient though so you and her can work your way through. Need more than just class time to pass so go to the study groups in order to stay on top of the fast paced course

i finally passed this class!! I wouldn't have done it without her! She is flexible with giving the students some slack, and really does CARE about her students passing or not! take her!

She is a wonderful professor to teach math but the hard part is trying to keep up with her work and everything. Her homework is long and boring, test was okay with some hard question at the end of the exam. You have to be everytime so that you wont get lost in the homework. If you love math, take her but if not, dont take her if your math challenge

Tests are difficult and are based off of the hardest homework problems, but are multiple choice. Lots of help available. Really recommend going to study group. Overall, a difficult course. More than half ended up dropping. Wouldn't recommend it, but if you end up in it, just remember to study really hard for tests and you should be alright.

not very good. justifies her stupidity and mistakes with bogus stories and excuses. not a very good teacher. very boring and cannot keep your attention. hard to stay awake. if you can learn by just copying math problems with no real help for two hours then she's the teacher for you.

She is very helpful, nice and she is always there to help if you ask for it. She cares for her students and she will not give up intill you understand the material. I would recommend her I was always bad at math and she truly helped a lot.

Prof. Berta tries very hard and is extremely patient with the class. She goes over the homework and tries to make sure everyone "gets it". Gives extra credit for staying for study group. Has a big heart and is willing to work with you to help you pass.

She is such a chill teacher, and your allowed to talk ask a bunch of questions and shes really easy going. You must do your h.w. though, but she gives you many chances for x-tra credit and she gives out study guides for the test and shes really nice and will try to explain to you if you don't get the problem.

We moved through sections in the book really really fast, but she was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Drops the lowest quiz and test score, which definitely helps.
