Comment:

Lohre is one of my favorite professors I have had so far. He has a lot of knowledge to share with his class and it was very interesting to learn. Don't take this class expecting to get an easy A with little effort. As long as you put in the work that he asks for and expects the class should not be difficult.

Usually an all right professor, but can become highly antagonizing toward students. Either do everything 100% perfectly his way, or face being scolded in front of the entire class. Other than this, however, he's great!

Comment:

Mike is an awesome professor and he genuinely enjoys his work and his students. However, he demands respect and hard work, or you WILL be called out. Absolutely no-nonsense in respects to work, but he has a sense of humor and a passion for writing. Highly recommend taking a class with him, even for electives purposes!

Lohre has been my favorite prof thus far. He showed a strong interest in the subjects he teaches and also a strong interest in his students and getting to know him. Often talked about subjects that related to todays society rather than going through the traditional motions. I look forward to taking another one of his classes in the future.

Mike's 367 class was ridiculously easy. We used two books and used the entire quarter to read them. In reality we should have been assigned at least 4 more books if he was going to drag out the class like that. He is very helpful and seems really laid back. But, if you tick him off he will very politely be rude to you...Yes, it's possible.

He's one of the best instructors I've had. Students willing to learn will learn a great deal from his courses. He just might change your view on the world. He's extremely creative, unique, and passionate. And of course he's super hot, rides a motorcycle, and plays in a band!

I have had Mike for 3 English classes. He is great! He inspired me to start reading actively and reading for pleasure. I was also able to write some of my best papers in his class. He was a great professor and easy to get along with. He is the best professor ever!

Mike is a no excuse teacher. Expects you to give a 100% on all of your work,but he is willing to work with you if you’re having trouble. His syllabus isn't very clear and he isn't entirely clear on some of the assignments. Over all it's a great class and I learned a lot from him.

Mike is more than just a professor, he is hands on and creative. He isn't easy, but gives the student a chance. He makes sure each student, whose name he learns, understands and does the best of their ability. Mike Lohre has changed my entire outlook on college learning. He is an all around nice guy who cares about his job and his students.

Great teacher, big focus on "workshop" style classes. Not exactly an easy A, but if you try, he'll notice. Not just another master degree'd prof. that'd rather be teaching something else in upper division. Reccommended.
