Dr. James is a very knowledgeable prof. However, in lecture he presents material very quickly and sometimes doesn't clearly answer your questions. That said, he is good at explaining things one-on-one after lectures, and is very passionate about what he teaches! He makes lectures funny and almost never takes the full 50 mins! Attend class!

oceanography was one of my favourite classes i have ever taken! i loved this prof, his lectures were great, he was SO enthusiastic about the subject and had great stories, you could tell he really knew what he was talking about. and i loved the grading system - but the midterm was really hard.
