Prof Joyner (Keowen) made class very interesting and is extremely helpful. If you put forth a lot of effort and make sure she knows it, she'll definitely help your grade. Very interesting class and gives you a whole new approach to writing papers.

I don't know why people on here have a problem with her. She is a great teacher, and she will help you if you ask. If you don't like her you probably didn't go to class. She loves teaching. If you do your work and try to be a good student you will get an "A" in her class.

Very political, for sure. But I had no problem with her. I learned so much in her class about composition; she definitely has some interesting ideas. It did take up a lot of my time though...lots of writing. Not a hard grader though; I made an A.

Good teacher. Uses blackboard alot. Cancels class alot to have one on one meetings with students when it comes time for papers. Be prepared read the material she asks of you. I interesting material she covers. Talk to her, she thrives off of interaction.
