Her expectations in this class are EXTREMELY hard to discern, and she picks apart all writing, not based on its content but based on tiny minute details: not referencing every other sentence to the reading, APA formatting, commas and periods. I would never take this class again, no matter how much I liked working at gorse.

I have been looking forward to this class since I took Psych 230. Totally worth the wait. Patty is a wonderful prof. If you can't stand being at Gorse for 7 hours a week then you definately shouldn't take this class.

DO NOT take this class if you have a lot of responsibilities. The lab is a grueling eight hours per week job. You are essentially a non-paid babysitter/maid for the Gorse Center. Prepare to be exploited heavily.

Patty's Psych 331 class has been my favorite course the past 5 semesters I've been at MHC. Writing observations is, as others have pointed out, time consuming, but she provides a lot of in-class support for the assignments. Class discussions have been engrossing, and I never find myself looking at the clock. Patty is nice, challenging, and helpful.

Genuine, down to earth, and very intelligent person. Her class was time consuming but well worth it. If you want to learn about early childhood development, her 331 lab is hands down the best way to do it!

She was great!! The lab was a lot of time, but worth it and I learned so much from the course. She definately wants you to learn and has most assignments turned in as rough drafts first. She is a great advisor too!! I would definately recommend taking this class.

Patti has been my general advisor, and my advisor for two independents, and she is fantastic. She puts 110% into her meetings with me, is very flexible, helps me to think creatively, is fun and personable, and is just all around wonderful really.
