I love Pat SO much. A true rhetorical QUEEN. If you have the chance to take her for The Individual and Society, DO IT! It's a lot of reading for homework but it's worth it, Pat's enthusiasm shines through. Pat cares about us not just as students but as human beings. She just wants to help you in any way she can. I absolutely adore and admire Dr. Sullivan. She is an angel in every aspect. Her classes have enlightening and amusing conversations, and she is open to hear everyone's opinion. She is the best professor I have ever had.

Professor Sullivan is the best professor i have had in the communication and media department. She is very intelligent and this class is extremely fun and interesting. Any one who gave her a bad review just doesn't like to do any work... welcome to college!

This class is unbelievable & extremely overwhelming! She's always asking you to write a paper, & she always wants you to specify. You think you're being specific, but to her your not. The test are crazy, but she is helpful and tries to work with u. This class should be called Barack Obama cause that is all she talks about.

Best teacher i have had at newpaltz. I took Persuasion and Poli Comm with her. Very smart - very reasonable - challenges you and has high expectations. Great to talk to, always is happy to meet with yo. She mixes styles of teaching, uses examples and doesnt sweat small things like missing class. The BEST!

I really don't know why people have given her bad reviews. She isn't difficult at all, her lectures are ALWAYS interesting, and she does a great job of making everything really comprehensive. Plus she used a ton of examples, like funny and interesting videos. I always enjoyed going to Theories of Persuasion and I highly recommend taking it.

She is so smart, if you listen to what she says, you'll do well on the tests and papers. It really is NOT a hard class, the class revolves around the same basic themes. The only reason someone wouldn't do well is if they don't go to class or are lazy and don't do the work. You can even hand in papers and have her fix them before she grades them!

She is an excellent professor, one of my favorites. She is NOT easy though, so if you are looking for the easy class avoid her. She is VERY opinionated, so you may butt heads with her if your vocal and your opinions don't match!

Amazing! Took her for two classes. Always willing to meet. Very published. "Obsessed" with Hillary Clinton because she is the subject of several scholarly articles she wrote. Difficult: lots of work, but my favorite professor ever! :)
