Loved Patsy! Comparative physiology was really interesting and it's clear in class that she's passionate about what she's teaching.

She isn't very good at explaining things and goes about teaching the material in an unhelpful way. I felt like the hardest part was getting the information in front of me, not applying it.

Useless! Useless! A shame its a departmental requirement to suffer through her class. One of the first professors at Bowdoin to pioneer the imminently lazy habit of spoonfeeding you via MS PowerPoint. She teaches bio only as she inderstands it (expository discussions of organ structures), as if biochem didn't exist or evolution doesn't occur.

Comment:
Patsy demands a lot of her students but is always available for help and is very fair. Her fun take-home exams with made-up creatures are about understanding, not memorizing material. It's a LOT OF WORK, but it if you love bio and/or neuro is is absolutely worth it to take a class with her.

BORING!!! she did not know the material - she brought notes to lecture and coppied them onto the board; couldn't answer basic questions. she should stick to bio and let the lab asst teach statistics

Boring and pointless lectures, only because of the material. Great in lab, definately a smart woman.
