Dr. Guy was one of the best instructors I've ever had. All of the negative comments are probably from students who party too much and don't take class seriously. He made us work our butts off and treated everybody the same - fairly! So if you work hard, you learn, and you get a good grade. This isn't high school, people....this is University!

Horrible class. I am usually really good at math but this was the absolute hardest class I have ever taken. Take MATH 105 instead, same major requirement but way easier.

I agree with all previous comments. Paul Guy should NOT be teaching! It's incredible how picky he is. Also, if the entire class is huddled outside his office hours right after class....he is obviously not teaching correctly! Do everything you can to stay away from his classes.

And when your in his office he still doesnt really help you... grades hw extremely hard if you dont do it the perfect way with the perfect answer youll get d's on hw

Wow Paul Guy was such a miserable teacher. He is not interested in answering questions. I did all the homework and had 100% because I had him check it all before i turned it in. I studied my ass off and it never seemed to pay off. I missed 3 classes because I was very sick and this dropped my grade by 5% leaving me with a C-, I get to retake it now

If you love to be unhappy then this is the class for you. He is the worst Professor at Chico State Period. No one is even a close second to this grumpy old man. I really wonder if he even cares if anyone passes his class. Good Luck if you have to take his class.

this guy is a piece of work. i wish i could use profanity to express myself and my anger towards Dr. Guy, but i cant so this is the disney version. Paul guy is a no good, mean old, heartless man that would love nothing more then to see his students fail.. If you want to have thoughts of suicide, then this is the class for you.

I'm guessing that Paul Guy has been filling out his own surveys as nefarious students because that?s the only possible way anyone could ever have written something positive about Paul Guy or his class for that matter in one of these comment boxes. Dr. guy is by far the worst teacher i have ever had. If you take this class you will regret it.

I was not a fan of this teacher at all. I thought he was a hard grader and very hard to understand. Take Math 108 with Dustin Paisley, not only will you pass but you will totally understand too!

HW is vital, I missed like probably 3 HW's and that just sign my death certificate. You take 3 mid-terms and one is replaced by your homework grade. I didn't like that fact that he would introduce new material before the next mid-term. He never reviews. He's a horrible teacher when it comes to answering questions.

Tough class if you don't like math. Prof went quickly over the material and had little patience in class, or out for that matter. Would reccommend you do ALL homework, and get a tutor or just avoid.

Excellent teacher! Challanging, but fun class. I learnt a lot. I would definately agree that this is one of the few "college level" classes at Chico State. I have great respect for Dr. Guy. He is extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

This class was a pain because he went very quickly and was not very open to questions. He's a reasonable guy though. It wasn't too bad, just long and boring...about the average difficulty level for a stats class. Its a pain to feel stressed though when you miss a class

I would not reccomend this teacher if you are looking for an easy class. This class will deffinately be a challenge. You will need to attend every class to understand and if you end up taking this class go to the library right away and get a tutor it will seirously help you not fail. Classes are extremely boring and hard to sit through.

Definitely go to class every time to get the extra credit points. He's very approachable if you have questions. It's a lot of work but if you keep up with it you'll do fine. His is the only class I've taken at Chico State that seemed "college" leveled. Definitely recommend him!
