Comment:

This guy was the most memorable professor I ever had. When you think of a math professor, this is the exact person you think of. He was difficult to follow, but he was a conscientious teacher who had a great love of math. I remember one time talking to him after class and was completely unable to follow him but didn't have the heart to tell him.

Nice guy and a clear instructor. Sometimes he explains things the way they make sense to him and it can be confusing but if you ask questions he'll understand your point of view and explain it in terms you understand.

He tends to monotone drone through lectures and isn't good at explaining the material. The nature and pacing of the large class doesn't seem to work well. I was lucky enough to have a decent TA so it ultimately didn't matter. Final verdict is that the class is a 4 day a week blah fest.

Dr. Malcolmson deserves some credit. I've had a large number of mathematics classes and his course was, at the very least, in the top 3 that I've ever had. If you didn't understnad anything in his class, it's probably because you're retarded to begin with. Take him for something other than high school math. He's an excellent professor.

After taking him I ended up going into ESP where the better teachers are. This guy is all over the place. Does not collect homework which I don't like. Take anyone else but him, especially if you never took a calc class before!
