If you go to class and are willing to put in the work, you'll pass this class. The study guides are exactly like the tests and quizzes, so if you can figure out the study guides you'll do fine. 3 tests make up 60% of your grade so you better study for them. Be sure to show all of your work for full credit.

As a student who got a 5 on the AP Stat Exam, I was honestly not well-equiped for this class. Prasanta is an older Indian man with a thick accent, which can make him difficult to understand at times. 5% of the grading comes from homework with the other 95% percent coming from quizzes and exams. For an A in this class, good test scores are a must

Terrible lectures and not at all easy to understand. Had to have my roommates teach me outside of class. He does give helpful study guides that are just the same as the exam tho.

Prasanta Basak is a very nice person but he did not teach well. I was taking Stat for the first time and he basically thought we knew the material already. A lot of people struggled with the class and were not happy about the way he taught. At one point, only 8-12 people showed up. I would not take him again.

Barely makes sense, I pretty much sit in class staring into space. Then learn start doing practice problems on my own to teach myself the material. Luckily the material isn't too difficult. So it makes sense to me. I have a B+ in the class, and im probably gonna be studing a good 12+ hours for the final to get atleast a B. Don't take basak.

Failed this class with him the first time I took it. Very hard material to understand and all of the math professors in Altoona move VERY quickly. Take this course at home if possible, the math professors on campus are all very difficult. Once you get lost in the class, you're doomed.

This is the worst professor Ive ever had. I think I failed because of him, avoid him at ALL COSTS. For real, dropp it and take it next semester, or you'll regret it. You can't understand what he says.

Difficult material even if you've taken the prerequisites. Quizzes and tests are alright, but I have to teach myself since he is impossible to follow. If you ask for help, he will say "don't ask, tell me" and continue to embarrass you if you don't get it. One of the worst 3 teachers I've had and it's my 5th year.

He is a horrible teacher. He goes very fast but never explains anything. He constantly asked "are you with me" and the entire class is too confused to even ask for help. Do not take him I was forced to drop the class because he moved too quickly for anyone with little Stat background keep up

A nice guy, and very enthusiastic about his subject, but he he is not good at teaching. While he continually asks if we have any questions, we have no idea what questions to ask.

The class was very straight forward. His notes are clear to understand. You need to keep up with the homework and you will be able to get an A. He is very nice and helpful and will help you if you ask for it. He tries to be funny and tries to make calc easy and clear for his students. Attendance is def. recommended to get an A. I recommend him.

He goes through the material too fast, exams are next to impossible and a calc 3 student thought our exams were tough! Don't recommend him. My class dropped from 35 people to 6 by the last week.

I'd advise not taking him. English isn't too hard to catch onto, but compared to other profs, he is next to impossible to get an A. I got a B- in calculus I, but got a 5/5 on the AP exams four months earlier. Definately avoid.

I wouldn't recommend taking him! It's almost impossible to get an A in his class. He teaches very fast compared to the other teachers. Also, he doesn't know english very well so he's hard to understand.

Nice guys but sometimes you have no idea what is going on. Can be tough to understand. The review problems are exactly like the tests! No extra credit or HW. Class can be boring at times.
