Raymond is very unique and cares about his students, but he expects far too much from them. I am usually an A student, but received a B in his class. He is clear in what he wants, but then goes back on what he says, only leaving you confused. I enjoyed the class time very much, but was dissapointed in his marking and rude comments.

Raymond is an extremely tough grader, I find my peers in class feel the same way. Unfortunately, he does give a lot of feed back on your reports BUT nobody can read what it all says... due to the type of pen and just the handwriting in general. He does not use blackboard, does not make slides, occaisonally writes on the board, students don't interact

Prof with a great experience, and expects his same level from the students. Someone please inform him that we are just taking a 3 credit course, and not a PhD in Public Speaking.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! Incredibly hard marker. Will provide a detailed criteria for the papers and will STILL mark you terribly even if you follow everything he instructs. His handwriting is terrible so you won't be able to read any of his feedback. Assigns long assignments back to back the whole semester.

Raymond is a true Prof. He inspires and commands effort in equal parts. If you can rise to the challenge, you'll love his classes. If you want an easy ride, he may not be for you. Quirky and entertaining, he knows his stuff.

worst ever prof in my whole life. he discriminates a lot and marks so hard for international student that you won't pass. One should never take his class. He demotivates students and just gives an F for the assignments he doesn't want to grade.

Worst Prof ever and talks in paragraphs, non-stop for the whole lecture. Goes way off the topic as he introduces his points using metaphors and acts like you're studying for free at the university. Needs to realise that he gets paid for helping students and not for sitting his lazy bum down. Would not recommend taking courses with him EVER!

I honestly enjoyed Raymond's class more than any other class I've taken first year. He is really engaging IF you are willing to listen. I can understand why people felt frustration, as he is a tough marker, but in doing so he creates a very well-rounded and wise student. I learned SO much from his class that will benefit me for my future.

Raymond was an incredible prof! He really wants his students to succeed and will do anything he can to help them out, you just have to be willing to put in the effort. He is a tough marker, but gives clear criteria. He puts so much time and effort into giving feedback and answering questions. Your grade will reflect what you put into this class!

Tough marker. You will need to approach the professor several times to ensure that you do exactly what he expects for n assignment or you will not get a great mark on it. This professor will do whatever he can to deduct marks from your assignments

Raymond is EASILY one of the best professors I've ever had. Here's the thing: You're not going to breeze through his classes with an easy A, but why would you want to? He actually cares about his students and gives extremely detailed feedback, and he will do ANYTHING to see your writing improve. He was a turning point in my business writing career.

Hardest marker in the world. He will ask for something and mark you wrong for doing it. Half the time he makes notes on your paper to make it look like he knows what he's talking about not that you can read his chicken scratch anyways... would never take another class with him.
