She is not liked by many, but expos is a tough class with the standards that papers need to meet. That being said, she makes the class read things that are relevant to us which is more interesting than reading things straight out of the book like in other expos classes. She is the head of the expos dept. so she is someone is good to get to know.

Comment:

Regina is such an amazing professor. She knows what she is talking about and really cares about you. But, Expos is hard. She makes it tolerable. However, she NEVER returns grads and comments in a reasonable amount of time. She will often give you a grade for a paper the day before the next paper is due. So you can not fix your paper.

Had her for Expos which was one of the hardest classes. Not gonna lie her class is hard as hell. But she is a great teacher, and knows what she is talking about and not contradictory like the other teachers. WORD of advice: go to office hours! very helpful ! if you work hard in the class and no last minute papers, B/B+ is very achievable. A =hardwo

After hearing a lot of bad things from other expository writing teachers, I have to say that this teacher is good. Although it was hard, her teaching was NOT contradictory and learned much from it! Also very helpful.

She is one of the best teachers i have ever had. Class is difficult like every other expos class but she makes it interesting and her teaching style is almost perfect. Incredibly helpfull. Take her even if its Friday morning at 8 AM.

Her teaching style encourages class participation. She almost never tells anyone their view is invalid. She insists you back up your views with the text. She assigns a lot of papers, but once you get the hang of writing for her you will not have any problems. She gives excellent feedback on the papers.

Regina is one of the most superficial teachers I have met -- all she is capable of is regurgitating the Writing Program philosophy -- and it certainly shows in her teaching -- all her classes consist of is watered down thinking and so-called "connections" that have very little actual meaning . . she is destined to become a hack in whatever she does

She was a TA for this class and provided office hours that really helped~ with scansion and studying for exams as well as choosing paper topics. Really fun to talk to and approachable. She substituted a couple tims for lecture and she made class fun too as well as Prof. Fulton. Really nice personality too! : D

I agree with comments above. She was very willing to help, always letting it known that she was available for help in office hours. Also, she knows her**** and has a passion for the material (poetry) and it comes across in a way that improves the course and its enjoyment level. I’d take any class that she taught.
