This is a self taught class. I have always been good at math and then I took this course. He gives you all his lectures to print out and reads them word for word. Homework in 50% of your grade. He is very dull and boring. This is class is hard if you are not prepared to teach yourself.

You have to teach this class to yourself. Every class, his lecture is writing the book on the board almost verbatim. He expects you to know everything and calls every topic easy. On the midterm, only 3 people go above a D. The only reason I passed was that homework is 50% of the grade.

Print his notes of line and bring them to class for him to read back to you. Never helps you. Expect you to know everything. All his emails go into junk/spam and the entire class will be there when he isnt. If you arent food at math dont take his class because he wont help you.

I have always excelled in math except for this course. He does not teach! He makes you print out his lecture notes and bring them to class then he just reads it back to you. Homework is a huge park of the grade and so is attendance. He is not very clear with when assignments are due and he does not use D2L.

Dr. Corwin is a great professor, I had him for STAT 200 and I'm ending the course with a high A. He probably isn't the best professor if you aren't very good at math, but if you are good at math then he is great. He has all of his notes already made and you just have to print/find them on his website. All homework is online, multiple attempts usual

While you don't have to worry about buying the textbook, you absolutely have to teach yourself in this class. He goes over the notes and then passes out a handout with questions for attendance. He doesn't really answer questions in class and would mess up when trying to explain problems half way through them.

He is a great person and tries to help you when you need it but is very unclear when teaching and doesn't always give enough time for the homework however he sometimes will extend the due date.

I have had Dr. Corwin for another math class, and I love having him as a teacher! A textbook is not required, he has his own notes that he uses that you can print off for each chapter! He is super helpful. Go to class and do the worksheets, you will get an "in-class" grade for those. I would recommend him!

Comment:

While he resembles ben franklin he is one of the nicest professors. He also walks around right after he's doing lecturing when you work on the in class problems. Stats is very hard but he tries to make it easy. Also if you need help ask he isn't technically a stats teacher but damn he's good.

I am not good at math in any sorts but Corwin made this class a breeze. He gives a short lecture every class then gives a worksheet to work on with a group. There is homework that you complete through a software every now and then and it is simple as well. His tests are not hard because he gives a practice test that is very similar to to the actual

TAKE HIM. He makes the material so easy. There's no textbook. He lets you use notes on the tests. He gives you a practice test which is just like the real one. Easy class.

For teaching Stat he was so easy. It's just hard material but he makes you understand. Attendence isn't mandatory but he gives out in class assignments every other class.

Dr Corwin was an awesome teacher. My only complaint was that I wasted over $100 on a textbook I never used. He gives a practice text before every exam and the questions on it are nearly identical to the exam questions. I wish he was teaching something else I needed to take!

Comment:

Dr Corwin is a very good teacher. Made Stats very simple. Never took the book out of the shrink wrap because he gave good handouts and inclass assignments. Gave us great practice tests to review for the test. Tests were normally easier than the practice tests. Very nice and helpful. Would take again!
