While he was hard to hear in class he was the nicest teacher I have ever had and very willing to help. As long as you attend class and pay attention the class is an easy A. I didn't do a single reading and was able to get 100% on the midterm and final.

He is a very nice man however he is also a VERY ineffective teacher. If you don't get to class early and get a front row seat you won't be able to hear a word he says. The textbook is terrible so you can't even rely on that. If you absolutely must take him try to write down key words and then google them and bs your way through the essay exams.

He can't hear himself speak and this makes him speak really softly so if you dont sit in the first row you won't be able to hear a word he says and even then I miss the end of some sentences. I asked him and the TA numerous times to get him a microphone but they wont do it. If you care about your GPA at all take any other class than this one.

He is a nice guy, but a terrible professor. I'm sure he was a better teacher 20 years ago, but the poor guy just needs to retire already. He has a lot of trouble projecting due to his old age; it really impedes his teaching abilities. I didn't know several questions on the final, completely BS-d my way through it, and got an undeserved B+

He means well but he's def the worst poly sci professor I've had here. His clarity is awful so you never know how to prepare for the exams even though the material is easy. His voice is also very sleep inducing.

Professor Lehne is a nice guy and he means well, but his class for public policy formation is really boring. He has hearing aids, so he cannot hear himself speak. Therefore, if you want to get anything out of the class, you need to sit in the first or second rows in order for him to be audible. His exams are based on the readings, which there are a

If you're not interested in to comm. policy, it's a little slow. The Professor is very cordial and nice. Decent in email response. Grading system not disclosed.Discussion are encouraged and reading is adequate. Won't say final was easy but one of the toughest. Overall, felt I learned a lot more then I expected in a summer class.

Inadequate professor. Does not respond to emails. Big on favoritism. All exams are in class essays. Hour and 20 of blue book writing and his grading is absolutely arbitrary. Seems like a nice guy....if he likes you. Go back to webreg and find something else...your waisting your time.

He is a very monotone which is hard to handle early in the morning. There is a a lot of reading. He is not really that hard of a grader, but you cannot bullsh*t either. If you are interested in the FCC, take this class. If not then definitely don't take this class.

Well, he was a very nice person. The information wasn't interesting though it may be useful. No paper or midterm, only Final exam which is a lot of writing. 50% participation 50% final.

Good class, and he's very helpful. Pretty hard of hearing and says "un-huh" pretty much throughout the class. I would recommend his Modern Communication Policy seminar.
