A lot of people complaining that the class was "useless" which I don't agree with one bit. You don't need tests and multiple papers to prove that you learned something, and with Dr. McCown, you learn how to be a caring, loving, and hardworking teacher. I fully plan on modeling my teaching style after his.

Dr. McCown is very nice but his class can only be described as useless. Educational Psychology should be the most important class for an education major but you exclusively work on a final paper in class. Dr. McCown may be very smart but is unable to communicate his ideas to students. All learning is expected to be done by reading the book

Dr. McCown is a very nice guy, but his class was so easy it was boring. I wanted to learn educational psychology, but all we did in LITERALLY every class was go over and prepare for the final paper that we had to submit. His feedback on your work is mediocre at best. He expects you to read the textbook outside of class, but never goes over it.

Dr. McCown will change your life. He is the best Ed Psych professor you can have. He can be a bit long-winded, but you learn a ton. Take him, you'll only have fond memories.

Dr. McCown is the one of the best teachers I have ever had. He treats everyone as an equal and is more than willing to work with you outside of class. I know that I can always go to him whenever I need help, although I am not taking the class anymore.

SUPERB professor!!! The best! He is HIGHLY intelligent and knows his subject WELL. Interesting, challenging class. You will learn a lot.
