He is an absolute angel. One of my favorite professors so far! I have him right now for fluid mechanics. He has great lectures that are interactive and engaging, he does not do homework- he just has optional homework that I do a few days before each exam to study. The exams are totally fair and he has a course set up so you can succeed!

My favorite professor at UTK. His classes are not easy, but I've learned more from him than any other prof. If you get the chance, TAKE BOND!

Comment:

The class solely consists of lectures and 4 tests. 3 tests are during the semester and then there is a final, all worth 25%. He is pretty forgiving in the grading of the exams. Although he doesn't assign homework, he posts recommended practice problems and makes the test very similar. Just work a few extra problems out of the book and you'll be ok.

Bond is the MAN. Teaches some difficult content, so it's not easy, but he is a great teacher and puts a lot of effort into the course. One of my favorites at UTK.

Dr. Bond is incredible! If i could take every single class I had to take with him I would do it in a heartbeat. He has great lectures and explanations in class and keeps a tough subject light hearted and interesting. I struggled in statics and was dreading having to build on that info but I looked forward to going to this class and did well.

Man I wish more UT professors were like this guy. Dr. Bond communicates topics clearly, gives you intuition on why things work they way they do. Very organized and humorous. This guy rocks. Tests are somewhat challenging, but with his level of instruction you will have no problem. This guy needs to mentor 95% of the engineering professors.

Bond is a great teacher (I had him for dynamics). He makes class fun and trys to make lecture more enjoyable. I reccommend going to lecture, he teaches pretty well.

Dr. Bond is a wonderful person and he makes his lectures fun! Although I enjoy him, I still believe his teaching isn't the best- he assigns no homework, grades are 100% exams (there are 4 exams), and he takes about a month to grade the exams. He's still a very helpful professor and expects you to put in effort into the class and lectures.

Although Dynamics is not a very exciting topic, I really enjoyed Bond's lectures! The only grades are three exams and a final, so you really have to prepare for the tests. If you do the assigned practice problems and ask for help, then you should do well in the class!

Dr. Bond is a great professor. He is a pilot himself and he flies. So he really knows about what he is teaching. All his tests are from his lectures. You don't need the book. Highly recommend going to class and taking notes.

Dr.Bond was awesome! he knew his stuff and made it simple to his students. Funny guy. Tests were the entire grade. Homework optional but very useful for tests. I took as honors class and all I had to do was write a 8-10 page research paper.

Dr. Bond is a really good teacher that honestly wants his students to do well and learn the material. He is a very entertaining lecturer, and he gives great examples. He interacts with his class a lot so that is good too. HW optional. 3 tests + 1 final. Each worth 25% of final grade, so you cant afford to mess one up. He also only curves grades up.

Jokes around alot. Sometimes I feel a little TOO much. Only has 3 tests. 2 midterms and a final. No other grades so you do bad on a test YOU'RE SCREWED. Tests weren't TOO bad I guess but since there are so few tests it's a lot to memorize. Not very organized either. Seems like he kinda just goes for it.

Thermo and Dynamics. Great teacher. Lots of examples. Homework is not required but I'd recommend keeping up with it. Covers the material well. I got a B- in both and definitely should have done much better, especially the first Thermo exam. 3 tests and 1 Final each weighted equally 25% except in thermo the lowest score was 10% and rest 30%.
