Comment:
Klee is a scholar, not a teacher. If you think the subject matter will be interesting to you, he might not be so bad. But he's not good at engaging students who only need his courses for credit, like Intro to Logic.

Granted, the math involved in Logic is not a natural strength of mine, but Klee was absolutely no help in figuring things out. He rants about topics irrelevant to the course instead of teaching, and acts like it's completely normal for quiz averages to be below 60%. He's very passionate about the subject, but is a terrible communicator and teacher.

Had him for a 300 level PHIL seminar. He's chock full of information on many topics, and has many interesting opinions he's enjoys bringing up , a somewhat rare trait in the professors I had at IC. He spent most of the class lecturing ad nauseam, but he made an effort to hear from us students. His exams are easy, just understand his note sheets.

After the first few classes, Prof. Klee cancelled class so much I lost count and stopped teaching new material. Classes were spent correcting homework and ranting about textbook editions. We taught ourselves the course and he is unforgiving. Clearly trying to get the class to think you're funny is not how to get the class exam average above 58%.

He explains concepts well, but I think he might have narcissistic personality disorder. He is overly theatrical and seeks laughter from the audience as recognition. Bur he does lecture well and often release the class early

Klee is a good guy. He is funny and makes the class interesting. I think he explains most everything clearly and he is always available if you need extra help. However, he does tend to cancel class a lot which can hurt your understanding of the material.

Took intro to logic with Klee and had to withdraw because it was so terrible. Very unreliable... he cancelled class 7 times before the semester was even halfway done and is difficult to contact if you need help. He rambles a lot and is not at all forgiving if you are not a mathematical-minded person, which I am not. Do not take his class!

Comment:
Wayyyy too much lecture. He does not get the class involved at all and there is no discussion. Very hard to pay attention when a teacher talks for the WHOLE 75 minutes of class with no interaction with students. Grades are based purely on exams so if you don't do well you're screwed. Very smart prof though

Klee is awesome! Definitely take logic if you want to take an easy math. It gets more difficult toward the end, but his curves in grading will ensure that you don't fail. He often goes off in tangents, but that just means less work for you. I highly recommend him.

Funny, especially when ranting about how horrible the text he used was. Very straightforward approach, lets you out early frequently, average amount of work. Awesome Curve in grading. Recommended for people like me who dont want to take a math.

Great teacher. He really knows what he's talking about and that's cool. He's literally crazy but in a good way, when you're done laughing at his antics you realize that you were just paying attention.

One of the classes I've learned the most from. I found the non-philosophical stories most interesting. Quirky but funny prof!

Very funny guy, kept logic class interesting. Not a ton of work, but you need to do it in order to do well on tests. The tests were easy at first, then got incredibly difficult. He does curve generously, however. Hard to fail the course thanks to the curve.

Hands down the most intelligent philosophy professor at IC. Anyone who complains about him prob just doesnt like philosophy. He's got an amazing, outlandish sense of humor, that is if your smart enough to get his jokes. If someone says he's stubborn, they were prob just easily intimidated and lookin for an easy A. He's reasonable very interesting!

Klee is awesome. He is very clear and has a great sense of humor. He does sometimes seem a little arogant though. Also, it really creeps me out during his lectures when he gets right in the face of someone sitting in the first row and just stares at them for a few seconds, in complete silence. However, he assigns VERY little reading & no papers

This is the worst class I have ever taken. I honestly don't see the point of going to class, besides the fact that he gets most test questions from his lectures. They are SO boring, and most of what he says is pointless and makes him seem completely pompous. I fall asleep every class...and skip it half the time. Find someone else for intro.

Good teacher, he can be a little stubborn at times, but his humor, intelligence, and downright passion for the material he teaches more than make up for any shortcomings. Make sure to take a class with Klee at least once in your college career, otherwise, you'll really be missing out.
