Wonderful. She is such a sweet lady who genuinely wants to help students. She's happy to talk to and help anybody who is interested in her research/anything pertaining to the materials world. She more or less went straight from the book, and her exams were nothing too challenging, though not easy. Open book/notes. Take her class before she retires

Class is not TOO hard but kind of hard. Labs are terrible, easily kills any sort of easy this class would be... the labs are poorly made, with terrible procedures made by the department. Groza is not THAT clear at lecturing but decent... Tests are really hard but open book makes them only fairly hard.

cute women. exams started out easy, but then got long and hard to finish. her lectures are really slow and covers little material. however, she explains it well. there is a generous curve 55=C-.

Poor, unorganized lectures. Her chalk work was never linear or clear. A typical class would consist of her writing down a word, and telling us it was important but never explaining the meaning or context behind it, or wasting several minutes at a time telling us to perform a computation for her. She would gloss over of course the difficult problems

this class is easy with any other teacher. Groza is a terrible lecturer, tests are not related to the hw, and they are super long for the time allotted.

Practice midterms are not related to actual tests. Lectures are slow and insufficient in detail to provide clarification for difficult subject matter. Lectures consist of rambling, unorganized chalk work, and copying example problems that can be read directly from the text. Recommend skipping lectures and reading the textbook and seeing a good TA.

The class was very interesting until the first midterm came along and wasn't related to the practice midterm, most of the homework, or even most of the lectures. The next midterm and final weren't really any different. The low indication of which concepts were actually important to do well in the class made the experience unnecessarily frustrating.

She is very sweet old woman, however she does have a thick accent. She is very helpful and is very good at answering questions. She taught the class very well, considering most people in the class had no prior knowledge of material science.

Great Person!! One of the nicest you will ever meet!! This class is fairly straightforward!! The HW's and midterm are extremely easy!! BUT THE FINAL EXAM TOOK EVERYONE BY SURPRISE!!! I walked in the room to take the final, all I can say is POW RIGHT IN THE KISSER!! final was hella hard, but overall this is a pretty easy class. Easy to get an A.

Her teaching method assumes that you know your material pretty well, so she'll be lecture pretty steadily. If there is sometihng u didn't understand in class, be assured that you'll understand it by going to her OH. She also has a busy schedule.
