I took Mr. Coleman for both of my lower level math courses, and I absolutely loved him. i read the reviews prior and was hesitant, but these are not always accurate and are to each individuals taste. I wish he still taught classes. He always made things interesting and helped in any way possible. Happy retirement Mr. Coleman.

This professor is horrible, boring, slow, will not help you. does not give extra credit to help you. he will tell you to try chewing gum, as he told me to. not helpful at all. his tests are hard, 12 questions you could get an answer right but if you dont answer it his way full points off, so you basically fail. im telling you dont take him!!!

mr coleman is awesome! he explain everything and if you dont understand he will go back. he will also go over the web assign and do problems at random that students had trouble with.excellent and very understanding. will keep class interesting.very helpful guy.

Mr. Coleman is a cool old guy very funny keeps us laughing. ill be taking him for again!though his lectures get a little confusing he is Always willing to help does reviews online homework is tedious but great tool if your confused or lost. tests are easy only 10 or so questions

Horrible teaching outline. Rarely used the text especially for reference material. Always assigned work from the internet (MathZone (Useless)). MathZone was useless, didn't learn anything from it at all. AVOID THIS TEACHER! Go to Gerald Bussald.

Mr. Coleman, has a great attitude. He is always willing to backtrack and give explanations for the problem solving process. I don't agree with the people here saying he is dreadful, it's college, we need to work for our grade. I found his class very helpful. He is courteous and pleasant at all times, and very knowlegeable. Great instructor

Even though I toke his class online, he often tecnds to give individual students help even though they did not ask for it. Not only that, he tends to do all of the work when helping individual students. But taking his class, it is up to you if you want to take it or not and see for yourself.

If you already have a hard time understanding math I don't suggest this professor. He definitely knows what he's talking about but isn't very good at relating it to his students. He's also very picky, will take off points from your test that have nothing to do with the main idea of the problem. Nice man, but not the best teacher.

Very nice guy, I'm not sure what I think about him, I got an A, probably the only one in my class, but I had to work for it. What I did was; do all the HW assignments, which are dreadful, and there are atleast 2-3 assignments a week. Wow, I've had some terrible teachers in my day and I'd have to say he's the worst. He'll make you feel stupid for asking questions. and He'll take off points on your test for putting the equal sign on the wrong side, or for not putting a period at the end of your sentence. Most of the time he's confusing, he'll do his own problem wrong on the board. will give you personal speeches about being late/not showing up to his class. contradicts himself constantly and will take off points from your test for stupid things, and then do it again for something different. Our class got excited for substitute professors. TERRIBLE.

I took this professor for calculus 2 last spring and i learned so much from this guy. He is tough on exams and i did put about 9 hours a day to pass but hey i got an A. Im in UTSA right now and all that hard studying really paid off. GO COLEMAN!!!

He doesn't answer your questions, has incomprehensible writing, and takes off for forgetting to do in things a certain format. A good friend of mine sat next to me; he took points off on one test for her not writing something a certain way, then 2 tests later took off more points when she did what he asked initially. Only 5/22 stayed/passed.
