One of my favorite professors!! She is hilarious, kind, caring, and makes math enjoyable. She doesnt take attendance or check homework. However if you skip or dont do homework, then your not gonna pass. She helps in any way she can but you have to ask. Problems from homework are a lot of times on her exams.

Ruth is an amazing teacher, who explains concepts thoroughly and is willing to answer any questions throughout the lecture. The homework given everyday takes about an hour to complete. It is not mandatory, but is heavily recommended to keep up. She will also go over any questions you have regarding the homework at the beginning of each class.

Shes a great teacher for math but you better be ready to do 1-2 hours of homework for every lecture class unless youre a brainiac. I suggest asking lots of questions about homework. She is very helpful if you show you want to do the work. Class starts simple and gets complicated fast.

You have to pay attention in class and get help if you don't get something asap.. Your grade is basically on the 4 tests you take so you can mess up really easily. Easy but you HAVE to pay attention. No extra credit.

Ms. Sherman gives helpful and entertaining lectures that really make math concepts easier to understand. She's very kind, easy to get into contact with, and responds to emails relatively fast. Her classes are organized with all of the homework laid out from the get-go for the upcoming test.

Ms. Sherman is wonderful in teaching calculus. She makes math so much easier and clearly emphasizes important rules to remember and the do's and dont's in math. Her lectures are very thorough and all questions from students will never be left unanswered. The contests of her tests are usually class lectures or problems for the homework.

Very Nice, and open for office hours but are very limited. The way I learn, she does not have time, teaching multiple sections, to provide help. She only explains things one way and if you don't get that, you're pretty much screwed. I'm going to have to retake the class with another professor in order to move on with Calc

She is very good at conveying concepts with math as she breaks down the problem very well (very important for integration and vector calc). The material comes across very well due to this, but she compensates by making tests pretty hard, but not unbearable. If you put in the hours and do the homework, you should be able to pass with no problems.

Professor Sherman is of the best professors I have ever had. She always is willing to help. She even encourages you to go to her office ours for help. Her quality of teaching is very good. Her lectures are very organized and enjoyable. She doesn't waste time making sure you did your homework and her tests are fair.I recommend her to every student.

Ruth is probably the best math professor I will ever have. She does an excellent job at reiteratingemphasizing important points.. and doesn't put a huge focus on being right - she's more about following the process. Homework isn't graded, but it's necessary if you want to do well on her tests (not easy for upper level math).

Ms. Sherman is a hoot! Nicknames range from "The Math Mom" to "The Old Goat," and you will quickly see why! Genuinely cares about her students' success, and is willing to help them in any way she can.
