Comment:

Great teacher, I read her ratings and was concerned but did fine in the class. It was a lot memorization of theories for the test but test is exactly off the notes in class. I did not get the textbook and you need it for one assignment and she let me take pictures of hers. There are four assignments and they all contribute to the final paper.

Very nice lady. Enthusiastic about material. Inconsistent grader, never knew what grade I was going to get even if I knew the material. Not clear on syllabus what she expected for the final paper. Very bad handwriting, could not read any comments she put down on my paper.

Awesome teacher!! she's really helpful and i always open for suggestions. Tests are a little hard because they are completely essa short ansswer and multiple choice. Just take notes and ask qeustions.Discussing the material with other people really helps too.

Comment:

She is such a sweet lady and really knows her subject well. She is willing to help and is pretty available for extra office hours. Her lectures are pretty much on point with what was on her exams and I felt like I learned a lot and did well. I hardly used the book and still passed with an A. The key is to study, study and notes. Not a hard class.

Please do not take her for Crim Theory. Take Mina! She requires you to memorize theories, including the social context of the theory, names of theorists, etc., for her exams and he lets you take them online! He's sooo much easier!

This class consists of 3 tests, 2 discussions, 4 assigments, and no extra credit. The assignments have to be 2-3 pages long. I found that the assigments and discussions have no bearing on the grade. It's riduculous. It's worth less than two points towards the final grade, so why even bother? She's nice, but I didn't enjoy her class.

Great professor and lecturer for a key class in the CRJS major. If you really want to understand crim theory take her. A challenging course that you must study for constantly to do well, but you come away knowing so much in the end.

Dr. Triplett is awesome! You cannot help but like and respect this lady because it is obvious that she really enjoys her job and really enjoys teaching students. She made boring material interesting.

3 multiple choice tests, no papers, but you can write 2 short ones (2-3 pgs) for 5 points extra credit each. Attendance not taken, but still go to class b/c it makes it easier to remember when you hear it. Don't buy the book, all you need are her power point notes for the test. TAKE HER :)
