He is a challenging professor but for the sake of actually getting students to learn something. He is very consistent and clear in his demands. Make sure to attend all classes and do the homework because he asks questions directly from it. Honestly one of the best professors I've taken thus far. Highly recommend him!

Comment:

What makes this class hard is because of perfection and accuracy. This professor is very tough grader but you will learn a lot from him from his lectures. If you want to pass this class, make sure to pay attention to his lecture. Take lots of notes! Make sure your cheat sheet is exactly like his lectures.

Comment:

One of the best professors I have had at Suffolk. If you need help with an assignment he is ready to help you. Makes you work for your grade but gives you all the tools to do well. He offers extra credit often and goes over assignments multiple times if he's asked to. I wish more professors would be like him.

Comment:

McDonald is very blunt and upfront about everything, but it is because he cares about the success of his students. Do not expect an easy class - he will make you work for your grade. But he gives you all kinds of resources to help guide you through the process. I wish more professors cared about the success of students like he does.

I never expected to say that I loved him as a professor. He truly cares about his students and pushes his students into becoming something more. Take him and make your tuition worth it. I wished I took ISOM 201 with him, you will learn a ton of new stuff from his class. Act like an adult and he will treat you like one back!

Prepare to get schooled by the McD. Do your work, participate in class, turn up for classes, work well with your group members, and you'll do great. McD expects a lot from his students and sets the bar high. You'll feel as though you passed boot camp at the end of the semester. Highly recommended!

Professor McDonald is the consummate professional. If you have the determination to learn, and are looking to make the most out of your college education and all of that tuition money, take any of his classes. He bridges the gap between college and the real world. Absolutely, hands down, the best professor at Suffolk University.

He is definitely the most demanding professor in Suffolk. I used to find him very intimidating in the beginning of the course but to be honest, i dont regret taking his course. He doesnt only teach you the course, he teaches you life. Be prepared to work hard and you will be satisfied.

Professor McDonald, has been one of the toughest professors that i've ever had. He is also my favorite. He expects you to meet his expectations. Do what your told and you'll be fine, slack off and you'll be sorry. His class requires the effort. He challenges you to be a better student, don't be afraid to challenge yourself. I'm glad I did.

Professor McDonald is a very tough professor and pushes his students to work hard. However, he is extremely arrogant and makes his students feel inferior. If you need help in the course, only ask him questions if you have exhausted all other options because he makes you feel uneducated regardless of how difficult the topic is.

One of the best Professors I have had at Suffolk University. "Every Problem, Every Day". Be prepared to work, he sets the expectation of what you should expect for yourself in college and in life, and if you want to just do nothing and learn nothing, then you don't really want to take a class with him - otherwise, I highly recommend McDonald!

Prof. McDonald is without question the most arrogant and pompous prof. that I have encountered in my undergraduate studies. Prof's Figure it out yourself attitude if you dont grasp the subject on the first pass creates animosity between the student and both himself and the subject matter he teaches. Avoid at all costs.. you have been warned.

Here's the thing: McDonald is not for sensitive people. He's the rudest, coldest professor I've ever had. So you can skip the excuses with this guy. That being said, do what he says and you will learn a ton. He is so clear and keeps the bar high because he believes that you will rise to his expectations. You have not been to SBS until you have taken a class with Prof. M. He is the real deal and he'll make you work harder than you'll work your time here at Suffolk. He demands respect, accountability, and effort. He does not play and scares the living out of even the toughest looking students. You go in as little kid and leave feeling like Spartan!

Professor McDonald will take a silly undergraduate student and turn them into a serious, and motivated student ready for the real world. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO WORK. ISOM 201 is a requirement for all Business majors, so why not take it with a Professor that provides valuable skills to a student? Those that don't like him, weren't there to learn.
