I had her in 1997 and can't believe she is still teaching. Terrible! I learned so much more with all of my other math professors at ECSU. The other reviews are precise. I, too, corrected her every class and she was not honest when she made a mistake. She was rarely available during her set office hours-usually canceled them.

She's such a nice lady and means well but her teaching skills are pretty bad. I had to teach myself and go to a tutor a lot, where they were also confused by the way she taught. If you take her class just pay attention and ask a lot of questions because she confuses herself a lot.

I got an A in this course but sitting through class was HELL, soo boring. Students are constantly correcting her work on the board because she doesn't know what she is doing or how to teach. I would never take a class with her again. She is one of the worst teachers you can get, I wish someone warned me.

Do. Not. Take. Her. Class. She is a nice lady, yes, but a horrendous teacher. I basically taught myself, listening to her made me more confused. She had trouble understanding other students' questions and would go on 15 minute tangents that had nothing to do with what they had asked. Made a lot of mistakes. Bad at explaining concepts.

The whiteboard is used to learn concepts, and it is a confusing way to learn math. Fair grading. She also allows formula sheets for tests, they help a lot.

Nice person but terrible professor. If you make it to every class your grade increases by half a letter, however there is NO excuse for any absences. She takes points off on tests if you do the problems out your own way, not using her methods. (mostly takes off half the points) even if you get the problem wrong. (continued next)

Try to stay away from Keating. She doesn't like to help people if they don't understand and she constantly makes mistakes on the board. Nice person, worst teacher I have ever had.

Nice little crazy old lady. says shes too good for evaluations. never answers math questions directly, makes mistakes on the board frequently. Only keeps eye contact with 1/5 of the class. Makes excuses for being late and not having tests graded. Full lessons spent reviewing homework, unfair grading, useless and horrible professor.

horrible teacher. Spends a lot of time making excuses for the mistakes SHE makes when doing problems on the board. I'm usually bad at math, and the only reason I did so well in this class was because I took the time teaching myself from the book. Doesn't do evaluations cause she's "tenured", which is the worse excuse to not find out your weaknesses

HORRIBLE!!!! very old fashoned, made a lot of mistakes. out of the 2 classes she tought said almost everyone did badly. and said it should be a wake up call to US. We all thought if almost everyone in her class is failing then it should be a wake up call to her. she is a nice person but really needs to retire.

Usually i dont listen to kids who say a professor is terrible b/c usually all it means is that they expect hard work. This professor is truly HORRIBLE- Every posted comment is 100% ACCURATE. AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS. I know several people who changed their major after having her b/c they were so disolusioned w/ math after having her. HORRIBLE PROF

Stay clear of this woman. Can't teach, can't help you, youre on your own.. so good luck. I hated every moment of Calc because she makes the whole class confused and then re-writes a problem that she did wrong in the first place. DO NOT TAKE HER AT ALL COSTS.

TERRIBLE! Class moves at an unbearable crawl. Spends nearly entire class on one problem and makes innumerable mistakes. When students point them out she wastes even more time making excuses or trying to understand what the student is attempting to correct. Guarantee if the took her own exams/quizzes she would fail.
