Comment:

Don't know why he has low scores. He's really nice & cares about his students. I'm not confident with excel but he made concepts easy to understand. I think hes funny too. I give him 10/10. Only reason u won't do well is bc you don't study or practice the material. He's there and willing to help. Also very timely with emails. Recommended!!

Comment:

AVOID him at all costs, overall he may mean well but is super tough and not accessible. The homework was hard but doable. I had a B+ before the final which is worth 40% of the grade. I got a 27% on the final and majority got below a 40%. He ended up giving us a 12% curve at the end because everyone failed, but could be avoided with another prof.

WORST PROFESSOR AT THIS UNIVERSITY! Final is worth 40%. Before taking it I had an 89%. Catches an attitude when asked questions. You can tell he doesn't know what he's supposed to be teaching because he's confused himself & gets mad when everyone else is confused. Lowest score I got on HW was a B and on the final I got an F. Make it make sense!

EBTM 350 Expects you have paid attention in subsequent classes and have working knowledge of that material. He plans the class as such and by the end of the semester I think we were 3 CHs behind. When he answers you question he won't just give you the answer, but helps you work through your problem. Pay attention in the examples and you'll do well.

Speaks as if you should already understand the class. He will fail you even if you reach out for extra help. Stay clear of him, if you want to pass take with Prof Cook !

Sharma is a good guy. You can tell he cares about the well-being of the class, as well as the happenings in his department. He will get frustrated when students do not know how to use excel, or make careless mistakes. There is one homework due per chapter, and the tests reflect the classwork and the homework, which are all done in excel. Easy stuff

This course isn't easy. You go through a lot of material quickly. Prof. Pillutla provides good resources though. You generally have to spend a lot of time reviewing/ studying since everything isn't always super clear. Be sure to go through working copies and assignments thoroughly. There are 3 non-cumulative exams, 1 case study, and weekly HW's.

Worat class ever taken, have to retake after being 0.5% away from passing. Tests make no sense compared to homework and examples done in class. He yells at people if they ask questions and doesnt want to help people learn. Very hard to pass, and expects you to remember everything from 250/251

I just finished taking this course today and after the final he gave us, I will have to retake the course. This is by far the worst professor I have ever had, he is in no way helpful. When students ask questions he says "you tell me". Tests do not match up with hw or cw. He makes easy concepts more complicated. Grading is 75%/100% tests & hw10%.

Sharma is a good guy. Class consists of 3 non-cumulative exams and one excel homework per week. Not a hard class by any means. I'd take with him again.

Will not answer questions during class. "Can talk afterwards" which is not helpful when multiple students have the same problem. Not many points available for the course but he grades as if there are. Grading criteria is vague/nonexistent. Tests involve material not covered in homework assignments. Good luck!

The first half of the semester you have to do a ton of work just to get ready for the Excel final exam. The final isn't that hard. Then the second half of the semester is a complete waste of time. His final is ridiculously hard and he curves the crap out of it so everyone passes. Just do the homework's and you pass. He's not very helpful though.

This is not only the professor for the class but he is also the chair person of the business program so don't take this class because he not only sucks as a professor but there is no one above him to talk to if he does not help you which he will not. the work and the assignments are long and tedious but you can pass just NOT WITH(Sharma)

This is a one credit class but it's a MOUNTAIN of work that will consume hours upon hours of your time. The last grader project is the hardest one, but if you go into office hours he will help you. He doesn't tell you the answers, though. He grills you until you understand it.

This class is short but EXTREMELY time consuming. You have a lot of homework due each week- two modules each consisting of around 24 videos you have to watch, simulation training, and a grader project. He doesn't teach you, the videos do. The "final" is a MOS certification exam which was fairly easy compared to the course work.

Comment:

Professor Pillutla, and EBTM 337, is generally an easy class. He requires two case study presentations to the one required by other classes. We finished this semester on chapter 7, we should've been on 10. Not a bad teacher, would recommend to take his class!

Really good professor who cares that each student learns the subject material. Open format where all students are asked to participate. Intelligent on the subject matter, and is willing to take time out to explain specific questions in detail.

Avoid at all costs. I did not do well in this class. Was .04 percent away from a C and he gave me a D+. Wants class participation and thoughts but shoots down every comment a student says about the topic that is being discussed.
